10 Famous Celebrity Meltdowns

Chris Brown is just the most recent of many different celebrities who crumble under the spotlight and reach a point of no return.

From throwing chairs through windows, to interrupting an award ceremony, to even yelling at pass-byres on the L.A. highway with a loaded gun, many celebrities have had meltdowns in front of our eyes and these are some of the famous ones.

Chris Brown

It was reported that Brown freaked out after an interview with GMA, storming into his dressing room and started screaming.

Brown was out of control, and one source says us he smashed a window in his dressing room, and the glass shattered and some shards fell onto the street

Kanye West

While accepting the Best Female Video award at the 2009 Video Music Awards Taylor’s speech was crashed by Kanye West who exclaimed, “Beyonce had the best video of all time!”

Obviously Taylor was mortified and if she hadn’t have been so shocked, probably could have taken Kanye out in a one on one fight. Later that night

Swift was able to retake the stage and give a proper acceptance speech.

Bill O’Reily

In 2008 Fox News commentator Bill O’Reilly had a vintage video clip surface from his stint as an anchor at Inside Edition in the early 1990s.

The clip shows an angry O’Reilly freaking out over a poorly written teleprompter, causing the now-famous conservative commentator to go on an obscenity-laced rant.

Mariah Carey

In 2001, the mega-bomb Glitter had just hit theaters, and Mariah showed up at MTV’s Total Request Live to do a little promotion.

But instead of the usual chit-chat, Mariah chose to hand out popsicles to the befuddled studio audience, and tell Carson Daly that she just wanted “one day off where I could go swimming, eat ice cream and look at rainbows,” and then took her clothes off.

A few days later, Mariah was hospitalized for “extreme exhaustion.”

Britney Spears

The songstress shaved her head, attacked the paparazzi with an umbrella, kidnapped her own kids, and had a brief relationship with Adnan Ghalib.

The pop icon also  married and divorced dancer Kevin Federline years ago and that’s when her bizarre behavior began.

Dave Chappelle

Dave Chappelle allegedly underwent psychiatric treatment after he signed a $50 million contract with Comedy Central.

Missing for several weeks, he finally emerged in South Africa, saying stress and creative angst led him to flee.

In early July 2010, a private plane was forced to land after Chappelle was deemed a ‘safety risk.’ The comic reportedly refused to fasten his seat belt and made constant trips to the cockpit to grab the pilot.

Amy Winehouse

During one 2007 UK tour show Amy Winehouse slurred song lyrics, stumbled into a guitar stand and even threatened show hecklers who were unhappy with her performance, stating, “First of all, if you’re booing, you’re a mug for buying a ticket.

Second, to all those booing, just wait ’til my husband gets out of incarceration. And I mean that.”

From the start, her whole career was a meltdown.

Bobby/Whitney

In 2002, Whitney had an interview with Diane Sawyer that made her look certified crazy.

Instead of clearing the rumors about her drug use and answering whether or not she ever used crack cocaine, Whit gave us her now infamous quote, “Crack is Whack.”

Bobby also gave us the classic, “I don’t do drugs everyday…maybe ever OTHER day, but not everyday!”

Martin Lawrence

In 1996, when Martin Lawrence was found by police packing heat in the middle of an L.A. intersection.

The funnyman, who was apparently under the influence of marijuana at the time, was screaming at passing cars with a loaded pistol in his pocket.
