It’s been a helluva week for H-Town’s Bun B as it’s been reported that he got into a shootout with a home invader at his Houston residence which led to the intruder suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Luckily Bun was well within his rights to protect his home and won’t have to face an unjust legal system about the matter.
Today one-half of UGK (R.I.P. Pimp C) and his wife Queenie dropped by The Breakfast Club to talk about the harrowing situation, how it unfolded and how it left them feeling afterwards. From Queenie explaining just how involved she was in the story to Bun B revealing why UPS doesn’t like delivering packages to his home, the married couple open up about everything y’all been wanting to know.

1. The Shootout
The shootout that happened at Bun B’s house left Queenie mentally scarred. She calls the situation “unreal” as she was the one that answered the door when the gunman rang the bell. The gunman had the barrel of the gun to her head before and demanded everything she had. Eventually she led him to the garage where Bun B met them with a gun in his own hand and proceeded to get into the shootout.

2. UPS Is Hiring
Bun says he’s the one that always answers the door but he was at the bathroom at the time. He also admits that he’s pulled a gun on so many UPS workers that for a while they stopped getting their packages before UPS just started leaving them at his garage. “I don’t have no company at my house. I’m never expecting company.” If you ring that Bun B bell expect some warm toast upon your arrival.

3. Naked Buns
Interesting detail about the shootout, Bun B was in the bathroom when the burglar ran into his home and started the commotion with his wife. He didn’t even have time to put on his pants or underwear before going to get the gun and literally letting his “nuts hang” while getting into a shootout. Legendary, B.

4. Creeping
Apparently the burglar was going around the neighborhood casing houses. Unfortunately the only people that noticed him were illegal workers who couldn’t call police because then they’d have to give up their own information and face possible deportation or other legal problems.

5. Friendly Neighbor
Interestingly enough Bun and his wife are glad this happened to them as opposed to one of their soft as a baby’s buns neighbors who they feel wouldn’t have been ready to handle such a situation. Queenie recalls another time a group of men tried to trick their way into her home while Bun was away and she proceeded to get the shotgun and call the police. Talk about a ride or die.

6. Smooth Talker
Bun reveals that he “learned how to talk and eliquate with a deep voice” from Quiet Storm’s Rudy V. He used to hang out with him at night and just soaked up some game from the man.

7. Jail Time
Queenie wants to see the burglar to go to jail for a long time and doesn’t want to hear his defense being that it’s his first offense. Bun feels the same way for “violating” him and his wife.

8. Avengers: Endgame
Surprisingly enough, Bun B is a fan of Avengers and calls Endgame the “greatest story ever told on film.” We’re not going to disagree at all with that assessment.
