9 Things We Learned From Offset on The Breakfast Club

Last Friday Offset finally became the last of the Migos trio to release his debut album even though he’s been the most talked about member for a while now. Usually a man of few words, today the Father of 4 artist swung through The Breakfast Club for a lengthy interview in which he opened up about family, drug use, and of course his wife Cardi B.

During the hour long interview Offset revealed why he titled his debut album Father of 4, when he realized that Cardi B loved him, and how he feels about the father he never knew.

1. For The Children

The reason he named his album Father of 4 is because he felt people only knew about his baby with Cardi B, Kulture. So he wanted to make something in honor of all of them.

2. Normal Childhoods

Even though he’s balling out of control, Offset doesn’t want to spoil his kids and has them in public school. He says he doesn’t know what be going on in private schools and wants his kids to have normal childhoods. They do live in a good area though so the public school is still a good school.

3. No Nannies

Unlike the Kardashians and such, Offset doesn’t want to hire a nanny for his babies. He keeps it in the family and has his mother and them take care of his kids because he doesn’t really trust any outsiders.

4. Straight Edge?

As for his drug use, Offset says he’s cleaned up right now because he knows being high would slow him up from making that $100 million he’s aiming for. He also says that his kids notice what he does and he wants to set the right example for them. Cardi B also let him know she didn’t like it when he was tripping off that.

5. ATLien Invaded

Offset feels that Atlanta surpassed New York City on the Hip-Hop landscape. He feels that New York, LA and Miami have become the Hollywood version of Hip-Hop.

6. Cardi B

Even when people were calling for Cardi to dump him after the whole cheating scandal, she took him back and that’s when Offset said he knew she loved him. As for him storming her stage during Rolling Loud, “I don’t give a damn. I love my girl” and knows that with him being a celebrity “Right now I’ll never find a girl that love me… You’ll never get that feeling. I never wanna lose that feeling. Love is a beautiful thang.”

7. Moving Past The Street Life

Offset has a lengthy rap sheet and being that he got a brother in jail who was given 15 years when he was only 12-years-old, he knows such a fate awaits him if he keeps messing around on the streets. That’s why he’s focused on making it on the straight and narrow path in this music game.

8. Papa’z Song

The last time Offset saw his father was when he was 4-years-old and the last time he spoke to him was in 2016. Interestingly enough he’s not jaded and wants to share his wealth with him but he constantly disappears on him. He says the only reason he took shots at him on his album was because he wanted him to reach out and ask why he did so. He also says he knows he’s on drugs and feels that’s probably why he’s hesitant to pull up on him.

9. Clue The Cupid

Unbeknownst to many, DJ Clue was the one who hooked up Offset with Cardi B after Off asked Clue if he knew her. He did and helped connect the two.
