10 Things We Learned from Soulja Boy on The Breakfast Club

Soulja Boy might be the subject of many memes and punchlines but make no mistake about it, he doesn’t care what you think or feel. In his mind Soulja Boy’s a legend and if you let him tell the story he’ll make you a believer.. or try to at least.

Today the man known as Draco stopped by The Breakfast Club for the first time in his career and gave one of the most entertaining and overall funniest interviews of this young year in which he made the case for being the most overlooked influencer of all-time.

Talking with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God, Soulja Boy explained why people got tricked into thinking he was a cokehead, called out Kanye West, and explained why he’s the person who made Drake who he is.

Here are the 10 things we learned from Soulja Boy on The Breakfast Club.

1. Kat Stacks

In that infamous video where Kat Stacks claimed that Soulja Boy was using cocaine, Soulja says that he had some Tylenol’s on the table and she crushed it up and claimed it was coke. Soulja says he’s not the one to be hitting the slopes no matter the weather. That’s what he got for trying to mess with the hottest social media celebrity at the time.

2. Discovery Channel

Though Soulja Boy feels he’s the reason there’s a Lil Pump and he discovered artists like Chief Keef, Famous Dex, and Rich The Kid, Soulja says he never signed anyone of them because “I’m not no f*ck ni**a. I’m not the person that’s gonna put your career in my hands and you flop or something go wrong in your career and you look at me and wanna kill me. I’m not gonna be the bad guy.” He also wants all internet rappers to give him 5% of their royalties for having paved the way for them.

3. Cooked Beef

Soulja says that his beef with The Migos and Chris Brown is officially over. He even provided some messages from Offset supporting him. He says that his drama with Chris Brown stems from him “liking” a picture of Karruche. After that Chris facetime’d him and went off even though they were broken up. He admits if he knew it was that deep he would’ve never liked the picture.

4. The Fight That Never Was

As for that fight that he was supposed to have with Chris Brown, he says that Adrian Broder (at Chris’s request) was trying to set it up but only offered Soulja $1 million. He turned it down and reached out to Floyd Mayweather who offered him $7 million to do it. Soulja accepted and even signed the contract, but Chris Brown didn’t want to sign the paperwork and that was the end of that. He says they cool now though.

5. Migos

His drama with The Migos meanwhile started when he posted a picture with India Love. Apparently Lil Yachty told him to take it down because he claimed that was his wifey, but India Love said she never even met him. After that he got into it with Yachty and the Migos sided with the Lil Boat artist. That’s squashed now though.

6. Who’s Kid is This?!

Soulja says that sonogram picture he posted declaring he was going to be a father turned out to be an attempt at a quick money grab from a woman trying to get money for an abortion. It wasn’t until the internet told him it was a fake that he realized he was getting “finessed.”

7. Soulja Player

When Soulja Boy dropped his videogame console he originally expected to sell a few hundred systems but got 20,000 orders and ended up getting backed up. He says they’re on the way though. He also says all the games on the system are licensed.

8. Worldwide

Even though he was born in Chicago and lived in Atlanta, Soulja Boy is claiming Bompton, California as his hood without offering any specific ties.

9. Kanye West

Responding to Kanye West calling himself Walt Disney and Steve Jobs, SB says, “Ni**a, you ain’t none of that. Then why you ain’t come out with sh*t then?! I came out with a whole videogame console, bro… You kissed them folks ass at Louis Vutton and you kissed them folks ass at Adidas and you came out with two pairs of goofy ass tennis shoes.” In the end, “I’m younger than you. 10. Drake

Don’t talk to Soulja Boy about no Drake being the biggest artist in the game, y’all. Don’t talk to him about no “light skinned n*gga from “’De-generous’ (Degrassi).” According to Soulja he “taught Drake everything he knows.” “Y’all ain’t here Draco on his first song? ‘Tell me what’s really going on/Drizzy Drake back in his thing already’ – that’s Soulja! That’s my bar! He copied my whole f*ckin’ flow!… word for word! Bar for bar! Don’t act like I didn’t make Drake!” Well, guess that settles that debate that never took place.
