The enemy of my enemy is still my enemy, but we can work together to get the job done.
That’s not the original quote, but when traditional adversaries collaborate like rappers post diss track feud, you know you’ll have an interesting episode of Power.
After a spiritual counseling session with Rev. Macedon, Ghost vows to become a changed man. So in typical Ghost fashion, he transforms into early aughts Usher Raymond as he hopes to make amends with the people he’s wronged.
First up was Angela. We return to Ms. Valdez’s apartment to find Ghost, fresh from his penthouse eviction, apologizing for the way he ended the relationship. The only reason he left was due to Milan’s threats and nothing more. Angela let’s Ghost sleep on the couch while she struggles to reconcile with her mixed emotions. Of course, the next day Tasha visits Angela, with Ghost fresh in his struggle walk of shame apparel, to prep for her NYPD interrogation about Ray Ray’s murder. What shocked Ghost even more than the visit was discovering that Tasha and Angie have planned to bury the murder and save Tariq this entire time without his input and because they don’t want Ghost to drip his wack juice on their machinations.

Ghost sends a call to Tariq to ask forgiveness for his outburst as he endeavors to rebuild a broken bond with his son. Tariq will not have it and jettisons his father’s calls to the five-figure unread notification chamber of doom. Tariq would rather direct his energy towards Kanan, who has become his confidant once again. Tariq tells Kanan that he killed Ray Ray, which is encouraged and praised. Kanan becomes inspired by this news and takes Tariq to an affluent white man’s house for a pill pickup. Kanan has to beat down his customer (and former cellmate?!) when he attempts a lowball offer. Tariq soaks the whole moment in for himself and even helps Kanan avoid a car search by complex officers with a hilarious fake hyper ventilation. Now, Tariq is more inclined to sell pills on his campus because he knows that his new connect Kanan is just one text away.
Ghost looks towards Councilman Tate and Dre to repair their business relationship. He meets with Tate to say sorry for roughing him up in front of their Queens Child Project donors. He offers to sweeten the pot with a $50K donation to his gubernatorial campaign. The Dre talk revealed more about their peculiar dynamic. Ghost offers to get Dre his job back with Karen Basset and waive the non-compete offer for the “greater good” of the QCP. Later, he proposes that Dre kills Jason Micic. Dre, a fan of Quid Pro Quo arrangements, wants Ghost to kill Diego Jimenez. Another day, another unholy Power alliance.
Dre needs Diego urgently removed from the equation after meeting with 2-Bit, Spank, and Cristobal. He wants to know who is framing him and no one is above reproach. 2-Bit denies killing the Tainos and Cristobal won’t admit to being a Federal rat. Dre needs the answers and comes up with a plan to get them. He would speak with Arturo to become his personal Spanish translator. Arturo reveals Alicia’s secret moves to visit the Long Island warehouse in disguise and Dre suspects her as the one who planted the gun. In a classic double cross, Dre forces Arturo to confess his findings to Alicia, and translates the Spanish side talk. In Arturo, Dre also found a person to blame and to sacrifice to Alicia to keep her off the scent. Dre convinces her to let “the streets” take care of Diego since he’s heard “whispers” someone wants her brother dead, and Alicia has no issue stopping it.
The final stop on the Ghost St. Patrick Apology Tour 2018 was Tasha. Ghost pours his heart out to Tasha about vandalizing their vows and becoming their families biggest threat. Tasha doesn’t buy the sincerity, and feels Ghost should stop centering himself in these acts of contrition.

Tasha has plenty of reasons to be furious with Ghost, and the interrogation by Blanca Rodriguez compounds the frustration. Blanca is now working with the USDA’s office to question Tasha about Ray Ray’s murder and the ballistic’s report tying her gun to the crime. Blanca’s conclusion is that Angela and Ghost conspired against Tasha to frame her for Ray Ray’s murder. In this “what if?” scenario, Ghost used Tasha’s gun to kill Ray Ray while Angela discovered the bullet on the crime scene linking Tasha to the scene. Tasha doesn’t break, despite an immunity offer but heads back to the apartment to get to the truth. After finding Angela and Ghost together unexpectedly AGAIN, and discussing the interrogation with Tasha, they presume that the DA is going after Angela. Tasha decides to leave Ghost and Angela alone while she looks towards Terry Silver, the man that loves her, to lie on her behalf and give her an alibi.
Mak continues to be a thorn in Proctor’s side. He now has Lindsey Proctor on his side, and compels her to reveal where Joe and his mobster cousins hang out. Since Proctor says he no longer associates with that side of his family, he’s now facing Obstruction charges unless he cooperates. Meanwhile, Teresi gets closer to Tommy and thus gains more information to use against him. If you can’t trust family to stab you in the back, who can you trust?
