8 Things We Learned From The Simmons Family on The Breakfast Club

Ever since walking into the spotlight, Jojo, Angela and Vanessa Simmons have seen their celebrity and popularity steadily grow without even having to drop any kind of sex tapes (props).

Now with Growing Up Hip-Hop going four seasons strong and each one of the three getting their entrepreneur on, the Simmons siblings decided to check The Breakfast Club for a quick pow wow with Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee.

Opening up about their relationship with each other, Angela’s status with Romeo, and how they feel about Russell Simmons getting caught up in the #MeToo movement, the Simmons clan try to answer any and everything asked of them.

1. Go-To Man

Jojo Simmons is the go to guy for advice as far as Angela and Vanessa go. He does admit that he gives great advice because of the things he’s been through in life but also says he’s refuses to listen to his sisters complain about each other anymore.

2. Sister Sister

As for her relationship with her sister Darian, Angela Simmons says they don’t see eye-to-eye on certain things and they just need space between them. She does admit she doesn’t like it but it is what it is.

3. Romeo & Angela

Angela won’t say why she broke up with her baby daddy and just says that it “didn’t make sense” for her to stick around in that situation. Right now she’s just focused on her son and keeping negative energy away from him. That being said she says even though there’s chemistry between herself and Romeo “There’s nothing there.”

4. Wedding Bells?

Even though Jojo’s been with the same woman for nine years and has a child with her, he says he’s not ready to get engaged with her tomorrow, but would possibly be putting a ring on it soon. The way he danced around that don’t hold your breath though.

5. Russell Simmons

Even though they love and support their legendary uncle, Russell Simmons, they’re not getting involved in the allegations made towards him that came up during the #Metoo movement. They do admit that it’s hard to see and hear about those allegations and hope that they don’t smear his legacy.

6. Jojo’s Businesses

Jojo Simmons reveals he’s done with rapping and is instead in charge of his own record label and developing artists. He’s even started a lifestyle brand for fathers called Daddy Committee which produces baby bags and other products for the daddy.

7. In The DM’s

Angela and Vanessa said rappers do try to slide in their DM’s and some are dumb enough to try both of them. They don’t pay them any mind though especially those that are known to be in relationships.
