EA, Microsoft, and Bethesda all have shown their hands at this year’s E3 conference, and now it’s Ubisoft’s turn to fill us in about its upcoming games.
Ubisoft definitely had some aces up their sleeves this year when it comes to their upcoming titles. The attention solely went to the next Assassin’s Creed title, more information about The Division 2, and other announcements for Starlink, Beyond Good and Evil 2 and The Crew 2. If you didn’t get a chance to catch the live event, we quickly break down what you missed.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey will leave the desert’s Ancient Egypt and will take gamers to the world of Ancient Greece during the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta. The next installment in the franchise will have even more role-playing elements than origins. We learned that in Odyssey players will be able to choose between either or male or female protagonist, customize gear and abilities. In a first a for an Assassin’s Creed game, Odyssey will feature character dialogue that can affect the game plus develop romantic relationships like in BioWare’s Mass Effect games.

The Division 2
In more The Division 2 news, Ubisoft revealed today at its press conference that The Division 2 will have three expansions in year one post-launch. The best part about that news is it will not cost gamers a thing to download them. A big break from last year’s iteration of the game where players did have to purchase DLC content. It was also revealed The Division 2 will feature raids and the first one will allow up to eight players according to director Mathias Karlson.
The Division 2 drops March 15th, watch the new gameplay trailer Ubisoft shared today below.

Beyond Good and Evil 2
Beyond Good and Evil 2 was introduced to the masses last year with a beautiful cinematic trailer and this year it Ubisoft showed it off again with another cinematic trailer. This trailer revealed that favorites Jade and Pey’j will be returning in the prequel and we did a glimpse of the game in action. Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt was on hand to introduce a new crowdsourcing plan utilizing his company HitRECord.

The Crew 2
The Crew 2 looks a hell of a lot different from 2014’s The Crew. The trailer Ubisoft shared today shows the game seems to be focusing more on the racing aspect than the first game’s open-world action. Players will have motorcycles, supercars, F1 racing cars, planes and boats at their disposal this go-around.
An open beta was also announced and officially goes live on June 21 until June 25th. The full game launches on June 29th. You can get a glimpse of the fast action in the gameplay trailer below.

Starlink: Battle For Atlas
Starlink might have been the biggest surprise of the show regarding how good it looked. The toy-based game will allow players to upgrade their in-game ships with toy models that connect with their controllers. What really sold the game was the announcement of Fox McCloud inclusion in the game and Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto to help show off the Nintendo Switch’s exclusive character. Switch owners will also have access to the Star Wolf missions as well.
