EA unofficially kicked off E3 2018 with their conference on Saturday, now it’s Microsoft’s turn to show gamers and loyal Xbox One fans what they can expect from the console.
It was all about games as Microsoft came prepared with big reveals and plenty of exclusives. Microsoft clearly knows they lack significantly in the exclusive console games department. To remedy that issue they announced the acquisition of five major game studios to help them develop exclusive titles. Ninja Theory, Undead Labs, Playground Games, Compulsion Games, and The Initiative will be joining the Microsoft Studios Umbrella.
But we know why you’re really here, and that is for the games. So let’s hop into them, shall we?
Halo Infinite
They immediately started off their keynote with a bang announcing the latest installment in the famed Xbox FPS franchise. Now if you noticed, the next game will not be called Halo 6. Instead, it is titled Halo Infinite, and this game will not be just a sequel but a fresh start for the 343 Studios game. The announcement trailer does not reveal too many details about the forthcoming title but it does look like Halo will be going back to familiar territory as far as the game’s location and will center around Master Chief this time around. Lastly, it will also run on the new Slipspace Engine. It looks and sounds very promising, we are happy to hear that 343 heard our cries and gave us an authentic Master Chief experience. Halo Infinite will live on Windows 10 and Xbox One, you can check the announcement trailer below.

Kingdom Hearts III
Ahead of Microsoft’s event, Square Enix gave fans the release date for the long-awaited third chapter in the Disney/Final Fantasyesque role-playing game.
Now we get another look at the game this time showing off a level dedicated to the favorite Disney animated film Frozen. With plenty of E3 2018 left we are sure this won’t be the last we see of Kingdom Hearts III, peep the new Frozen trailer below.

Crackdown 3

Crackdown 3 has been on Xbox owners radar since they first revealed the game’s existence back at E3 2014. After suffering another delay fans of the franchise can look forward to the game centered around zany supercop action in 2019 exclusively on Xbox One. To appease fans, Microsoft shared a gameplay trailer featuring Terry Crews because who doesn’t love the guy?
Shadow of The Tomb Raider

Square Enix shared a trailer with Lara handing out vicious fades back in April, now at Microsoft’s event, we get even more insight on the game thanks to the “Louder than Words” trailer. Described as “Lara’s defining moment,” the young adventure seeker is in a race against time to save the world from the Maya Apocalypse. In this trailer, Lara triggers what is described as a “cleansing” when she removes a knife from its resting place inside a temple.
Shadow of The Tomb Raider is the third installment in the rebooted game franchise and will launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC Sept. 14th, 2018. Watch the new trailer below.
Gears 5

You could see this announcement coming a mile away. Gears of War is back, and it looks like it will be a making a few drastic changes this time around. Ditching the of war, Gears 5 will have players take control of Kait, and she is sporting her Locust chain from the from the fourth game. Fan-favorite Marcus Fenix returns alongside his son J.D.Fenix, Delmont “Del” Walker also returns and will follow Kait on her new adventure.
We also get a glimpse of the new enemies, new environments, and new weapons. Gears 5 exclusively arrives on Xbox One and PC in 2019. A Gears of War mobile game in collaboration with Funko Pop and turn-based strategy game for PC are also due out next year. Peep the cinematic announcement trailer for Gears 5 below.
Forza Horizon 4

Forza announcements are the norm when it comes to Microsoft showings at E3. Forza Horizon 4 takes the race to the British landscape. Forza Horizon 4 is not the authentic racer Forza is but more of an arcade racer. Horizon 4 will introduce dynamic seasons which will change and dramatically effect courses and how the car handles. Forza Horizon 4 will also feature a shared open world where players can interact with each other.

Devil May Cry 5

It’s been 10 years since Devil May Cry 4’s release, and now we finally have a direct sequel to look forward too. Series director Hideaki Itsuno is back for Devil May Cry 5, and the action seems to pick up right where the 4th game left off. The demon hunting family of Dante and Nero is back and will be available for players to control.
Devil May Cry 5 is set to release for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in spring 2019.

Jump Force
Bandai announced it’s most ambitious fighting game ever with Jump Force. Anime lovers will jump for joy as the worlds of Dragonball Z, Death Note, and Naruto collide. If you want to compare this game to another fighting game, thing Super Smash Brothers with Goku and other fan-favorite anime characters. No exact release date has been announced, but you can expect this game next year.

Cyberpunk 2077
CD Projekt Red’s highly anticipated game Cyberpunk 2077 has been a mystery for a long time now. So it was quite exciting to see a new trailer revealed for the game giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from the game. There are still no details on how the game will play and its release day is still up in the air. It definitely looks like its going to make some noise when it finally launches.

The Division 2

Thanks to a leak we knew The Division 2 was on the way. Microsoft pulled the lid off the game during its conference. In the sequel the location switches from New York to Washington D.C. and switches from the urban jungle to more lush green environments.
