After years of being signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label, today Pusha T finally dropped his long-awaited DAYTONA.
With social media already throwing praise on the very short album (while simultaneously being upset about the cover’s artwork), Pusha takes his talents to The Breakfast Club to gloat in victory.
Sitting down with the morning trio, the President of G.O.O.D. Music opens up about why he hasn’t dropped any new material since 2015, feeling a ways about Lil Wayne’s current situation and his thoughts about Kanye West’s admiration for Donald Trump.
Here are the 10 things we learned from Pusha T on The Breakfast Club.

1. The Break
Pusha hasn’t dropped anything since 2015 cause he was caught up in the “L” that was the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, and then being President of G.O.O.D. Music has him putting other artists over himself.

2. Utah
Pusha wanted to do his album out in Utah because of this “really really expensive resort” that he split with Yeezy. For the first week Pusha was getting anxious because Kanye didn’t give him a single beat to rap to. At least he found Teyana Taylor’s album while out there. She ain’t put no paper up for they stay over there though.

3. Release Date
When Kanye tweeted out Pusha’s release date he didn’t know anything about it. He thought he was dropping in June with everyone else. And even though he only did 7 songs he feels he got everything he needed to get through on the short album.

4. Lucky Number Seven
Pusha reveals that not only is his album 7-cuts deep, but Nas, Kanye & Cudi, and Teyana Taylor’s albums will all be the God number. We’re kinda surprised nobody in Wu-Tang thought of such a concept.

5. Birdman
Though Pusha talks about Birdman on his “Infrared” he says he doesn’t necessarily want drama with him but has to address the issue. He even ran into the Cash Money millionaire on an elevator in LA a few days ago where a well accompanied Baby asked him “What’s brackin’?!” After a dolo Pusha said “Ain’t nothin’” the two went their separate ways.

6. Lil Wayne
Pusha says he doesn’t necessarily have an issue with Lil Wayne or Baby. He says “these are just bars, man.” He does feel sympathy for Weezy’s post-Cash Money monetary situation saying that “I can’t imagine selling all them records and having to still do a club hosting? Where? I can’t imagine nothing like that.”

7. Drake
Speaking on the shot he took at Drake, Pusha says “they say he reached out on “Two Birds One Stone” and felt that “it was to be responded to. At the same time, it’s about – man, it’s music.” Though Pusha says he’s ready for some competition with the King of The North, he does ask fans not to “pit me and my skill set with his skill set. I feel like we do different things.”

8. Guest Verses
Pusha says that he doesn’t like asking other rappers for guest verses because “everybody got a lot to do” and even thinks guest verses could end up being “throw away and something that’s not going to be meaningful.” Guess that explains why he only has two guest appearances (one if you take into account Kanye’s his producer/label owner).

9. Kanye/Donald Trump
Pusha told Kanye that his political rants of late “didn’t think it was a good look at all.” He says there’s nothing that Kanye can say that can make him agree with him as far as Donald Trump goes. “I don’t think Trump is like a real President… I don’t think he’s agenda driven. I think he’s self driven.” He’s not wrong.

10. Meek Mill
For his record “What Would Meek Do” Pusha says he was tempted to ask Meek Mill to drop a verse on the record but being that he had just been released from prison, Pusha felt he might’ve been too intrusive had he done so. So he just fell back.
