Cardi B’s on top of the world right now. After dropping her highly anticipated debut album Invasion of Privacy last week and immediately going gold, the Bronx born rapper revealed that she’s got a bun in the oven and even co-hosted The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

Today the hottest rapper in the game stopped by The Breakfast Club to talk with the morning three amigos about her pregnancy, the high price of fame, and why she won’t make her baby a social media celebrity.

1. Unplanned Parent Hood

Cardi B says the pregnancy wasn’t planned at all and did contemplate having an abortion but didn’t want to go through the motions so she kept it. It bothers her when other women tell her they feel sorry for her that her pregnancy is going to end her career. She refuses to let her career come to an end too soon though.

2. Born Ready

Cardi says that she was ready to drop an album back in October 2017 with 15 cuts in the stash, but she was talked out of it because she was told that there is a difference between a mixtape and a studio album. Good call.

3. I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghost

Cardi says that she doesn’t have a ghostwriter, she said she has a co-writer (Pardison) and has no problem crediting him and putting money in his pocket for his help. Atlantic even signed him to a deal.

4. Music

Even though Cardi enjoys making music she says lately it’s been “so-so” because people are turning something that was fun into a job with new standards. She doesn’t like that pressure, she prefers to continue to have fun with her craft.

5. Fame

She admits that her newfound fame has her missing her privacy and says when she was a dancer she was much happier than she is now. She feels she had less people judging her and had more freedom.

As open a book that her life is, Cardi says that there’s a lot of things about her that people don’t know because she chooses to keep certain things to herself.

7. A Calmer Cardi

Cardi’s fallen back from putting hands on someone these days. She says she has friends that’ll cook her beefs for her.

8. Hollywood Ready?

Naturally Cardi’s been getting offers to do acting, but she knows she’s not up to par so she hasn’t taken any gigs. She wants to take some acting classes before she dives into that game.

9. Invasion of Privacy

Cardi named her album Invasion of Privacy because she felt that there was always something about her or her man Offset trending on the internet even though she was busy in the studio. She felt that everyone was just watching her or making up stuff about her. Once paparazzi began following her she knew her privacy was a wrap.

10. No Baby Pics

If she would’ve had it her way, Cardi would’ve never let anyone know she was pregnant because she doesn’t want any negative energy towards her baby. Because of that she says she’s not going to post any pics of her baby when it’s born for a hot minute.
