For the past few months Tekashi 6ix9ine has turned himself into one of the most popular rappers in the game while also becoming the most polarizing figure on the Hip-Hop scene. Whether it’s the rainbow hair, Blood’s affiliation or simply his over the top arrogance, heads are really hating on the Brooklyn rapper these days.
Today the self-proclaimed King of New York checked into The Breakfast Club with a chip on his shoulder and spoke with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee about living and striving off of controversy and hate, what happened with J Prince Jr, and how he caught that rape charge.
Here are the 8 things we learned from Tekashi 6ix9ine on The Breakfast Club.
1. J Prince Jr.
Tekashi says that he doesn’t know where his problems with J Prince Jr. started and actually dapped him up at a sneaker store in Houston the day before Prince took to the streets mob deep and called out 6ix9ine at SXSW. 6ix felt that if J Prince had a problem with him he should’ve told him something at the sneaker spot instead of inviting him to his birthday party, which 6ix9ine was denied entry into because he showed up more than an hour late.

2. SXSW Set Up?
Talking about the SXSW show that Tekashi didn’t perform at, he felt that it was a “set up” because J Prince and his crew were on the stage for everyone’s set and security was too scared to ask them to leave the stage. Tekashi said he wasn’t going to go up there and get “World Starred” by J Prince and his peoples at the World Star rap show. Tekashi says he still walked away with his bag though.
3. Brooklyn Beef
Speaking on his beef with Casanova 2X, Tekashi says it stems from his cut “Set Trippin” which apparently had Tekashi’s named attached to it in some way. Tekashi’s crew ran up on Cass and his peoples not too long ago but luckily it didn’t get out of hand violent.
4. Blue to Red
Explaining those pictures of 6ix9ine allegedly Crippin’ he says that he used to chill with some Crips but never actually got down with them or began claiming any set.

5. Rape Charge
As for those rape charges, Tekashi says that he was 18 then the then 14-year-old shorty in question lied about her age and ran with him and his people for a minute. It wasn’t until police got to him and told him that she was a runaway teenager that he found out. Even though he didn’t smash her, police said if he didn’t plead guilty to the charges he’d do a 15-year bid. Not having any money for a lawyer to fight the charges, Tekashi just took the deal that lingers over him till this day.

6. Trippie Redd Drama
Speaking on his beef with Trippie Redd, Tekashi explained that they were once on the same label and the label decided to push Redd instead of him. 6ix didn’t mind and kept at his craft eventually breaking through. So he chalks up Trippie Redd’s problems with him to “jealousy.” He also doesn’t know what Game’s beef is with him and feels that Game is worried about the wrong things in his life right now.
7. LAX Fight
Clearing up rumors about that struggle fight at LAX, Tekashi says that his peoples was talking to some girls and apparently them Houston dudes didn’t like what was said and things escalated real fast.

8. Rags to Riches
Tekashi admits that when he was in school he was in special ed because of his behavior. A therapist told him that he’d one day be cleaning his car and a teacher once told him he’d be dead. Talk about proving the doubters wrong.
