For decades U-God has been one of the Wu-Tang Clan’s most overlooked artists, but with his upcoming biography RAW hitting the bookshelves, the killer bee is ready to reintroduce himself to the culture.
Stopping by The Breakfast Club to promote his most personal project, U-God puts on the listening audience to some eyebrow raising stories.
From almost beating up Leonardo DiCaprio to his son getting shot, the God has quote the story to tell.
Here are the 12 things we learned from U-God on The Breakfast Club.
1. Rough Childhood
U-God says that growing up he used to get bullied and even got wedgies from the older heads in Brooklyn. Are wedgies still given out these days?

2. Method Man
U says Method and Ol’ Dirty Bastard were 100% focused on their rap future, while U says he was 20% focused on music and 80% dedicated to the block. Because of that U says he tried to keep Meth off the streets but eventually Meth was running the block and getting all the money from the hustle.
3. Acid Production
U-God remembers how Method Man once convinced him to do a hit of acid. After he took it he ended up wilding out and spazzing out on Onyx.
4. DiCaprio
Speaking of spazzing out, U-God remembers he almost flipped on Leonardo DiCaprio after Leo “got out of pocket.” He didn’t say how he got out of pocket exactly but eventually they ended up cool.
5. Tragedy
U-God revealed that his son got shot and ended up losing a kidney, dislocated two fingers, died twice and came back. Apparently some burger picked up God’s son and used him as a shield during a shootout while his son was with the babysitter. Dude got his comeuppance though.
6. Therapy
After the ordeal with his son, U-God went to a therapist and realized he was suffering a mental breakdown and had PTSD. Life in the hood will do that to ya.
7. W
Surprisingly, the members of the Wu-Tang Clan aren’t allowed to use the “W” logo for themselves. Word? What part of the game is this?!
8. Cause & Effect?
When the Wu-Tang didn’t finish their tour with Rage Against The Machine (something U-God advised against), the Wu lost their endorsements including one from Mountain Dew. He feels the Wu leaving that tour two weeks early led to the rock band breaking up afterwards. Guess we’ll never know.
9. OB4CBL
U-God admits that his verses weren’t good enough to fit in Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, and ended up scooping Capadonna from his job and throwing him in the studio for that album. The rest is Hip-Hop history.
10. Cher
As far as the Once Upon A Time in Shaolin goes, U-God says he didn’t even know what they were going to do with that album because when it was put together it just a bunch of Wu verses put mixed and matched. He didn’t even know he was on a song with Cher. Does she even know? Either way his lawyers are trying to figure out how much U-God is owed from that $2 million dollar sale. Interestingly enough Leonardo DiCaprio almost bought the album but Pharma burger ended up with it.
11. Kim Kardashian
Surprisingly, Inspectah Deck almost hooked up with Kim Kardashian back in the day. Shockingly it was Deck who backed out of meeting up with Kim because he didn’t know anything about her.
12. Torture Inventor
U-God says he invented the “Torture” game that ended up a famous Wu-Tang skit on Enter The 36 Chambers. That’s why he thinks they called him a “psychopathic thinker” on that album.
