There is no stopping the ratchet mess that is Love and Hip-Hop Miami, not even on President’s Day. Episode 8 kicks things off with Keyara who needs some sound advice after her very strange encounter with her high boyfriend Gunplay on last weeks episode. So who could she turn to? Keyara stops by headquarters of the infamous mom and daughter duo Chinese Nicky and Chinese Kitty.Â
Of all the people to confide with in Miami this is who she decides to speak with. The pickings are truly slim we guess. Well anyway, she breaks down the whole situation with Gunplay and his erratic behavior on the set of his video for his song “Stove Still Hot”. After sharing her story with them they dish out their advice. Chinese Kitty brings a similar situation she was in dealing with a drug-abusing lover and how she had to do things she didn’t want to do try and save him. Kitty breaks down in tears when she tells Keyara like herself she’s gonna have to leave to save herself. Twitter couldn’t get over the fact these two look crazy and that Keyara shouldn’t be listening to them at all either.

Joy is single and ready to mingle again after getting the closure she needed in the form of a divorce at his legendary party last week. She suggests that her cousin Trina should join her on a double date and that Trina should bring her “greatest friend” Raymond. We learn that Joy’s first dip in the single’s pool is with none other than Pleasure P. Twitter has a feel day with the revelation.

Shay is on her own and making moves herself, it’s to our surprise she decides to link up Blue her former enemy earlier this season. He asks Shay to do a shoot for a lingerie company that he does branding for aka shooting his shot aka dirty macking. Once the shoot is over Shay and Blue get to talking, it’s there he learns that Shay needs help getting the word out on her brand. Shay reveals to Blue that herself and P are no longer dating and Blue decides that’s his is in. He even suggests the two should link up but Shay shot that down swiftly and put him the friendzone instantly. Twitter took notice of Blue’s thirstiness of course and Shay’s horrible lace front wig.

Jojo is finally back on the scene but shes got some drama to deal with on her own. Her parents are in the beginning stages of what is a bitter divorce battle. Jojo’s mother asks her to testify for her on behalf against her dad. Her mom even uses her store as one of the properties in the case against her father. Jojo and Twitter were not feeling her mom’s move putting her dead set in the middle of the divorce battle.

Shay links up with her new “friend” Blue in the studio to show him some pictures and her fitness brand’s logo. The meeting is quickly interrupted by Shay’s ex Pleasure P who shows up earlier than expected to the session. He is shocked to see Blue and Shay being cordial and is not feeling it all. He questions why Shay is there in the first place and also why Blue is even dealing with Shay? Despite Blue dirty macking, Twitter looked past Shay’s bad hair and for once sided with her against Pleasure P.

While his ex, for now, Keyare is meeting with the Cheshire cat twins, Gunplay takes his act to Miami to get some advice and to sample his new music to his boss Rick Ross and DJ Sam Sneak. Ross gives his signee words of wisdom for his situation stressing how important Gunplay is to his family being the breadwinner. Gunplay agrees with the MMG general and pledges to get his life back on track for the sake of his relationship and his career. Twitter made a very interesting observation though during the meeting spotting styrofoam double-cups next to the conveniently placed Wingstop boxes.

Jojo links up with her mysterious father to talk about the divorce battle going on between him and her mother. It’s here he makes his daughter an offer she can’t refuse and wants her to be the heiress to his “business” whatever that may be. He wants his princess to take his side and testify against her mother and her brother whom he doesn’t have very kind words for at all. Jojo is in a bit of a pickle but Twitter thinks it would be in her best interest if she took her fathers offer.

Victoria reveals to Steph Lecor that she wants to bury the hatchet with Amara La Negra once and for all. They meet up at an unnamed networking event and things go south quickly once Young Hollywood arrives on the scene. Veronica isn’t feeling the fact Amara and Hollywood are getting along and working with each other.Amara isn’t here for it and smells Veronica’s phoniness instantly calls her out. Veronica, in turn, points out that Amara’s beloved afro is fake and that she is a phony as well. Hollywood exposes himself as well by talking shit about Amara again right in front of her face. Amara decides she has had enough and leaves. It’s not hard to figure out who Twitter sided with in this and it’s not Veronica.
