Things came to a head this week on Love & Hip Hop, as always. Seems like things are forever bubbling under the surface on this damn show. Let’s begin.
The fight at James R’s video release party ends with Self acting as a mediator to establish a truce between the two guys, who knowingly went back and forth over Sophia the Body. Jacquae decides that the beef is deaded right there and it was all a misunderstanding which doesn’t sit 100% well with us because who’s gon’ have Snoop’s back? After she stuck her neck out in a beef that wasn’t even hers. SMH.
Rich Dollaz and Anais plan a sitdown with Navarro and Ashley and their meeting doesn’t turn out the way they planned. Typical. Ashley starts in on Rich, antagonizing him for being single for so long and having an affair with a married woman.
It’s clear that something deeper is bothering her and she’s triggered. Rich bites, gives in to his fragile sensitivity, tells Ashley she’s “f*cking disrespectful” and walks out. Then the truth comes out. Ashley accuses Navarro of cheating. She says he’s been sneaking around and deleting texts from an unknown woman. Poor Navarro looks genuinely shocked. Then she throws water n his face and leaves.
In the next scene, she’s packing his bags at the crib and when he walks in, still trying to explain that the mystery woman was helping him plan a surprise for her, she also drops the bomb that she’s knocked up. Yikes.

Mariahlynn runs to James R’s video release party to show off her new breasts (Sophia’s nowhere to be found). We rolled our eyes. He notices the boobs of course and in his confessional, James says: “I was tryna work it out and she threw birdseed in my face…” We guffawed. Mariah brings up the past and how he betrayed her, then he topples his ice sculpture. Okay, girl…
Jonathan meets his ex (?) Trent at a restaurant so they can finally hash things out and while Jon is telling Trent that he’s a straight up Grinder hoe, Trent produces receipts proving that Jonathan is still married to some guy in LA. Jon screams that Trent is addicted to sex and Trent says that Jon’s addicted to marriage and that Jon was trying to get him to the altar too. After six months, man? Nah. That’s embarrassing. Anyway, Jonathan flies into a rage and we truly believe that if allowed, he would’ve torn ol’ boy to shreds. He seems to have a nasty temper. “I don’t wanna be that Dominican hood booger from the Heights…,” he says in his confessional, not knowing we would pay thousands in Now Or Laters and Chopped Cheeses to see that side appear.

Later the two break up because Trent doesn’t want to stop hoe-ing. Eh. At least Jonathan knows now.
James R is mending a broken heart or more likely, nursing a bruised ego, after Sophia the Body didn’t show up to the release party for the video she was featured in. She stays curving him. We laughed. Smart girl. Sophia admits that she still has feelings for Jacquae in her confessional. The type of individual James is, Sophia had to have known he was capable of doing some petty stuff like tagging her ex’s friends in the online invite. And see? She dodged a bullet by not attending but James is intent on laying the guilt trip on her. He asks why she’s turning down his love. Simp.
James tells her that Jacquae, Snoop and Self were at the party (as if he didn’t entice them to come), “Everybody was against me,” he whines. “You were supposed to be at this party.” And like an emotionally hurt little boy, he also tells her that Jacquae had thanked him for taking the baggage off his hands, with a smirk on his face, Sophia chastises him for not “defending” her but you’re not his girl, remember?
Mariahlynn is tight with Self because she doesn’t feel he’s backing her the way he should. Typical artist-manager relationship. We get what he’s saying though, she’s got to stop waiting for invitations. But later, Self asks Dream Doll to have a one-on-one conversation to encourage Mariah since she’s “dipping a lil’ bit.” What the hell was he thinking? You don’t send one artist to talk to another with that type of info, like, “Help her out. You’re doing way better right now.” Facepalm. And it was only a few weeks back when Mariahlynn was screaming in Self’s face about this same girl tryna put her in that Bianca/Bri squabble. He also blurts out that Safaree is supposed to be working with Mariah at some point, during his session with Dream and she’s visibly annoyed.
You already know what’s happening next, right? Yeah, Dream pulls up at the meeting spot in Central Park, calls her Gwinnin sister a “bum.” She also belittles her career. Then she says something about her ma and Mariah jumps a picnic table and pounces on Dream before she knew what was happening. Too funny.
Last thing: JuJu reveals to Yandy and Remy that her 10-plus year relationship with Cam’Ron is over and our hearts are broken. Smart, beautiful, sweet… What else was Killa looking for?! We feel robbed. Super sad face.
