Aside from Jay-Z, Jeezy’s been everyone’s favorite rapping hustler in the Hip-Hop game for the past decade and change and with his latest album Pressure dropping today the Snowman is back on his grizzly.
Swinging through The Breakfast Club to break down some weight with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee, Jeezy talks about the difference between trap rappers of past and present, being engaged, and his “non-issues” with Joe Budden.

1. Sellers & Users
Comparing how rappers used to talk about selling product in the streets to today’s generation rapping about using street products, Jeezy says “That’s what they really do, but that ain’t a form of like leadership. I kind of talked about it in a way like, I wasn’t glorifying it, but this is what it is.”

2. Grindin’ Before & After
Jeezy remembers he pressed up hundreds of thousands of CD’s to get his buzz up so the fact that today’s artists can just stream their work bugs him out. What a time to be alive.

3. Trap Music Today
Jeezy’s take on today’s trap music differs from what people may think. He feels that if it doesn’t have actual trap content it isn’t trap music no matter how much it may sound like it.

4. Single Game
When Angela Yee suggested that he was engaged, Jeezy immediately rebuffed that rumor and said he’s very much single right now. Angela Yee out here putting a different kind of pressure in Jeezy’s life.

5. Mighty Healthy
Commenting on living healthy Jeezy said he likes to take care of himself because his body is his only vehicle and wants to be his best self to hustle properly.

6. Not A Rapper
Jeezy says he tries not to be too good a rapper so that his message doesn’t get lost in the rhymes. He even says there’s some records he hasn’t put out because “I’m almost rapping too good.” Drop ‘em, Jeezy. For the culture of course.

Talking about writing up a memoire Jeezy says he won’t do one simply because “I don’t want them problems.”

8. Gucci Mane
He says he doesn’t remember dismissing Gucci Mane in the club after Gucci got out of jail. He says he’s too grown to have done something like that.

9. Joe Budden
Jeezy says he doesn’t have any issue with Joe Budden or his criticism but says he doesn’t think he’s using his platform right saying “Y’all trying to critique what culture is but at the same time what are y’all doing to help it? I’m talkin’ to these young cats. I’m giving them game.” But he insists he doesn’t have any issue with him.

10. Flowers for The Dead
Interestingly Jeezy says he’s paid for more funerals this year and last year than ever in his life. That’s both admirable and sad. Either way, respect.
