Kevin Hart’s 2017 has seen it’s fair share of ups and one particular low down that’s been the lone dark cloud that’s followed him all year.

The cheating scandal that was the talk of the town this past September would’ve broken lesser men but for the the pint size comic giant it was what he needed to put life in perspective and come out a better man.

Today the comic superstar swung through The Breakfast Club to talk about the situation that put him in the doghouse and revealed what about that situation bothered him the most, why that situation turned Michael Blackson into an “Instagram model,” and the time he gave Tiffany Haddish $300.

Here are the 9 things we learned from Kevin Hart on The Breakfast Club.

1. The Dumbest

Kevin Hart says him getting caught cheating on his wife is his “dumbest” moment but takes responsibility for his “f*ck up.” He says that incident made him a better man and he’s on the straight and narrow from here on in life because he doesn’t want to risk losing his perfect life at home again.

2. Extortion

Speaking on – or lack there of due to it being a federal investigation – Kevin shakes his head at the notion that he might’ve paid off the woman extorting him about the cheating incident had she asked for less money than she did.

3. Standup Guy

He does plan on including his infidelity episode in his standup routine. We hope his wife can laugh when that bit becomes a part of his show.

4. Wife Under Fire

His biggest beef with the infidelity incident was how people were trying to diminish his wife’s character behind the situation especially since she was pregnant at the time that the slander was being thrown out there.

5. Daddy’s Little Lady

Kevin remembers he had to sit down and have a talk about the cheating scandal with his 12-year-old daughter and explain himself. Apparently his daughter called him out for being wrong. Kev did say she was 12 going on 25 and 25-year-old women want answers.

6. First Marriage

Kev says he didn’t ruin his first marriage by cheating saying they were both separated he had already filed for divorce when they were doing their own thing. He also says he’s “understanding” of his ex-wife and “some of the negativity that she’s put out there in the air. I don’t hate that woman because of it.” He still gives her “a thumbs up” for the two children they had together.

7. Michael Blackson

Kevin Hart felt that his friend comic Michael Blackston turned into the “Instagram model that just shows her a** looking for “Likes” after Mike clowned Kevin for his cheating scandal. He did say he hoped that promoted Mike and would get him an hour special. Heck, Kev even said “I wanna fund it, Mike cause it ain’t coming no time soon.” Lesson of the day: Never cross a successful comedian, man.

8. Joe Budden

He also questioned how Joe Budden could do a podcast on the scandal being that Joe’s relationship history is spotty at best. He still got love for Joe though.

9. Tiffany Haddish

Kev remembers the time he gave a then homeless Tiffany Haddish $300 to get a hotel room to sleep at, he wasn’t the star he is today and just wanted to help her as much as he could at the moment. $300 was all the money he had in his pocket and gave it to her. He says he did have her pay him back recently though.
