Ever since insisting that his son Lonzo Ball was better than two-time NBA MVP Steph Curry (and every other NBA player for that matter) last year, Lavar Ball has been a lightning rod for all kinds of basketball and even political related “controversies.”

Today (Dec. 13) the HNIC of the Big Baller Brand and his two youngest sons (LiAngelo and LaMelo) stopped by The Breakfast Club to continue to add to his outspoken reputation that may or may not one day get his son Lonzo Ball traded from the Los Angeles Lakers.

Chopping it up with the morning trio, Lavar speaks on why he’s taking his sons out of school to play professionally overseas, his beef with Donald Trump, and why he still feels he can beat Michael Jordan one-on-one.

Here are the 10 things we learned from Lavar Ball and sons on The Breakfast Club.

1. Overseas Game

Lavar says that his boys aren’t going to play overseas for the money or to make a living, “They’re going over there for the passion of the game. They wanna play with some competition.”

2. Father Knows Best

LiAngelo didn’t transfer to another school because he liked his father’s plan of playing overseas. LiAngelo does say that they have a say in what their father’s plans are. LaMelo also says that his father is right most of the time.

3. Donald Trump

As for Donald Trump’s beef with the Ball family Lavar says Donald wanted an apology from him because “I’m the big baller. That’s why he said ‘watch how I make this guy say thank you.’ Stop it! He also feels it was all a publicity stunt on the Trump side. He also confirms that he did send Donald Trump three pairs of sneakers. The red, white and blue editions to show they’re “patriotic.” Meanwhile, everyone else is still waiting on the regular black editions. SMH.

4. China Incident

LiAngelo says he simply made a bad decision in China when he stole the LV sunglasses. He also admitted that in his original speech he didn’t thank Donald Trump but then “had to put that part in there in the morning before I went” because his school told him he had to do it.

5. “Soft” Coaching

Lavar explained that when he says the Lakers are coaching his son Lonzo “soft” it’s really a shot at how they try to make excuses for their shortcomings. He feels that the coach doesn’t know what to say to Lonzo to get him going and just wants them to let Lonzo do his job. Who knows what that means at this point.

6. Love Eternal

Lavar says his wife’s stroke isn’t a distraction because he’s with her forever. Respect.

7. Michael Jordan

Lavar once again insists he can beat Michael Jordan one-on-one saying “He’s 54. I’m 50! I ain’t gonna let no 54-year-old man that smoke a cigar beat me!” This just a few minutes after admitting that his son LaMelo waxed him on the court the day before. Christ on crutches, this guy.

8. Facebook Show

Even though they took their reality TV show to Facebook, Lavar confirms that TV networks were interested in picking them up. It was his brother who told him “No one watches TV no more” and they took their talents to the social media network.

9. BBB Clients

Lavar says some people want to get down with his BBB brand but he’s refused saying he wants to remain 100% committed to his sons.

10. Plan B

Lavar and his sons wouldn’t feel like they failed if they don’t make it into the NBA but also admit there is no plan b.
