On this week’s episode of Love & Hip Hop: New York, Mariahlynn is getting her life with a couple new changes and a significant promise from one of the show’s leads. “It’s been a dream of mine to work with someone like Remy on a track. Someone who has influenced me so much with my music,” she says in her confessional. Mariah says this to Remy as well, in so many words, and her response was “Really?” Same thing we said, girl.
Remy gives her tips on her image as they converse, encouraging her to go the “Hollywood white girl” route. “There’s a lane for you… These two cornrow things? Like, no.” But we actually like the cornrows on her Rem. Our take? Keep the cornrows, lose the lacefronts, Mariah.
Later, the Gwinnin artist heads down south to see Dr. Miami for a breast augmentation and the first question she asks? “How long before they can get sucked on?” Valid inquiry.
Anais and Rich Dollaz are still out here moving around publicly like people don’t end up on the news for less. Her phone is going off incessantly and Rich brings it to her attention. She asks why he’s worried about it and his response was: “Because this is my time and on my time I want your time.” Respect yourself King. Anais is the type to get you in serious trouble. But you already knew that. Probably what turns you on.
Still, Rich seems to have some sort of issue with jumping into things headfirst. He remarks with a smirk, “It seems like [your husband’s] still married and you’re not.” Now, we’re not sure why the conversation took this turn, but Anais goes into “what are we” mode. And she’s the one who’s married. They’re both insane. “Don’t turn your problems into my problems,” Richie says in the confessional. “I’m not married and I don’t owe anyone anything. Shorty on the other hand, she’s gotta clean that mess up on her own.” Um. We don’t disagree but your presence kinda complicates things Rich. Si or no?
“What do you think my husband’s gonna say when he finds out we’ve been dating? Are you willing to say that I’m your woman?” We don’t even know where to start with this lady.
Navarro has a tough decision to make in a sticky situation. Apparently, his girl and business partner, Ashley, has been slippin’ on her pimpin’ so to speak. Both of their firm’s biggest clients, Anais and Ayesha (Ashley’s own sister) spend separate scenes complaining about ol’ girl’s recent neglect and lack of motivation. He actually agrees on both counts, now he has to figure out how to fire his lady. Yikes.
He was in the process of finding the best way to give Ashley the boot, when it all fell down at the ribbon cutting ceremony for his new building (which is crazy BTW, Navarro is a Hackensack superstar!). First off, Rich shows up at the event which makes Navarro raise an eyebrow and finally, he and Anais allude to their budding “relationship.” Navarro is visibly irritated for the first time all season. Then later Ayesha pops in to ask him why her sister hasn’t been fired yet. Cold hearted. We giggled though.

Ashley walked up soon after and Anais couldn’t wait to put Navarro and Ayesha on front street. Upon hearing the news, Ashley got defensive and got ghost, which nobody ought to be too mad at.
Sophia the Body tries to apologize her way back into Jacque’s life but he’s not having it. The craziest thing though was that she came to him wanting an apology in return. She wanted him to say “sorry” for putting her and the dog out of their home. Girl. Jacque gives Self the credit for peeping her opportunistic ways before he did. She ends their conversation with: “I’m Sophia the Body b*tch! I get everything I want…”
Then later, she pops up at James R’s door, telling him that the puppy’s dying because it swallowed a penny. See? Once across the threshold, she says, “The vet gave her a shot so she’s fine right now but…” Well, this being the case, why are you at this man’s house? Even if this wasn’t the case, why are you at this man’s house? Thought you had no interest in him, sis. We know why though. She lets it “slip” that Jacque put her and the dog out. Of course.
This exchange between James and Sophia is the prize of this episode though:
James R: Another man’s garbage is another man’s prized possession.
Sophia: I’m not his garbage! Don’t even go there.
James R: I never said you was.
Bruh.
Papoose still hasn’t lined up the IVF doctor and Remy has questions. We don’t fault him for waiting until her “long list of things” is done. That way she has time to rest. We do, however fault him for making it seem like he wants this baby more than she does. That’s not fair.
Next week, we take another trip through NYC to see what’s these people do next. Link up.
