President Obama will make a special appearance in a back-to-school television program with Kelly Clarkson and Lebron James. The President will appear in a 30-minute documentary that will air at 8 p.m. Sep.8 on MTV, BET, VH1, CMT, Comedy Central, Spike TV and Nickelodeon. President Obama sent out a press release Wednesday revealing the message he would give to students saying:

“So as this new school year begins, I urge you to set goals for your own education: to study hard and get involved in your school, to try new things and find something you’re passionate about and that’s how our nation will get ahead — by ensuring that every American gets a world-class education, from preschool to college to a career.”

The program is the by-product of a partnership between the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Viacom, Inc called “Get Schooled.” The aim for the program is to improve high school and college completion rates. The show will feature the celebrities and their behind the scenes cohorts including Obama’s speechwriter, Kelly Clarkson’s music director and Lebron James’ marketer.

The show is intended to highlight other possible career and monetary outlets and inspire career choices in other fields that are rarely sign but are highly productive and lucrative. As HipHopWired previously reported, President Obama wants to raise the bar on education and stated,

“They might think that they’ve got a pretty good jump shot or a pretty good flow, but our kids can’t all aspire to be the next LeBron or Lil Wayne. I want them aspiring to be scientists and engineers, doctors and teachers, not just ballers and rappers. I want them aspiring to be a Supreme Court justice. I want them aspiring to be President of the United States.”
