Being married to an emcee certainly can’t be easy but there are at least 14 ladies who’ve stood by their men despite reports of infidelity, scandals and sometimes even incarceration.

Aisha Murray Atkins
The wife of Ja Rule is no doubt loyal for sticking by her husband’s side even after detailed accounts were released of his reported infidelity.
Those reports were released of course by Karinne “SuperHead” Steffans who claimed to have an ongoing sexual relationship with the rapper often fueled by rampant drug use.
Rule’s wife downplayed Steffan’s claims however in a 2006 interview where she said,
“I don’t believe what she said. I love my husband. And it’s going to take more than a broke-down Beyotch to make me leave him. So there you go…I was 14 when I fell in love with Jeff,” says Aisha. “I lost my virginity to him. So I don’t care what other people say. This is my household, and this is my marriage.”
The couple wed in 2001.

Shante Broadus
Snooop Dogg’s wife Shante has stayed down with the dogg for over 13 years.
In 2004, the couple filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences reportedly tied to the rapper’s infidelity.
Shante and Snoop say however that their daughter’s diagnosis of Lupus played a role in them moving on to renew their vows in 2008.
“That’s what it boiled down to. Cori’s lupus showed us we need to be together forever.”
Shante adds,
“Without (Snoop), I don’t know what I’d have done. It’s amazing how this all turned out. We were gonna get a divorce. But we wouldn’t have gotten through it (the lupus diagnosis) that way.”

Coco Austin
Ice T’s wife Coco is known for her loyalty to her rapper husband.
The couple have been together since 2005 and most recently she stood by his side when he was arrested for driving on a suspended license.

Eudoxie doesn’t win on tenure, since she and Luda have only been legally married for less than two years. But she’s already handled her husband knock up a side piece with an uncanny amount of grace, so it appears Eudoxie is really about that life. Only time will tell.

Paul Wall and his wife Crystal have been together since 2005.
In 2009, Mrs. Wall appeared on an E! network special detailing the everyday life of a rapper wife.
She also debunked rumors that the spouses of rappers were “hoodrats.”
“People automatically think a rapper is involved with drugs and hoes — anything negative — so automatically, they assume that a rapper’s wife is gonna be some kind of hoodrat…The show is gonna expose the good, bad and the ugly, and also that the stereotypical idea of what a rapper’s wife would be is not necessarily the truth.”

You can’t talk about loyal rapper wives without talking about Tiny.
The former Xscape singer and her “honey Tip” (As she likes to call him) met in high school and have been romantically linked since 2001.
Tiny is often praised for her loyalty to her man, sticking by him after his incarceration in 2009 and again after he became re-incarcerated early this week.
Most recently she was arrested with her husband in L.A. and charged with drug possession, a charge she has since pled not guilty to.

She may no longer be Mrs. DMX, but you’ve gotta give Tashera Simmons no less than honorable mention for enduring 15 years of drug abuse, alleged physical abuse, and the general bat-ish craziness that was being married to Earl Simmons.
