It’s been a hot minute since the Godfather of Auto-Tune has graced the airwaves with his digitally enhanced crooning that took the Hip-Hop & R&B world by storm.
Now that his new album Oblivion is out, T-Pain got on his promo grind and dropped by the Breakfast Club to clear up some much talked about gossip.
From the money that Ca$h Money Records owe him to jumping on Jay-Z’s stage, T-Pain puts to rest some of the most interesting rumors about his life.
Here are the 7 things we learned from T-Pain on The Breakfast Club.

1. Ca$h Money
T-Pain still hasn’t gotten his $500,000 from Ca$h Money saying “it’s still a little process.” He does blame himself for not getting paid for “not pressing for it.” He also admits he’s still not pressing saying “I still haven’t talked to my lawyer about it.” Pain says that if Birdman or Wayne needed a feature right now “I’m still doin’ it!”
2. Who’s Your Daddy?
Pain remembers that during the height of his career his kids would call him “Other Daddy” thinking him at home and him on TV were two different people. That made him want to fall back from music and get closer to his kids.
3. Illuminati
T-Pain says he’s not in the Illuminati but says if there is he needs an email from them because they’re mega rich.
4. Tallahassee Drama
That time that Pain lashed out at his hometown of Tallahassee it was because the venue he was performing at not only let Fantasia close out the show on the low but also kept him from using a live band while Fantasia had a 10-piece live crew. He says he still loves Tallahassee but feels like a “battered woman” when he goes back.
5. Big Regret
He confirms that his “BIG ASS CHAIN” was indeed real and cost him $400,000. He does admit it should’ve been fake. He’s since melted it down to the bottle medallions he had. As for the fate of those bottle medallions, “They’re gone. I lost them.” Must be nice to be that rich.
6. Future
Pain remembers a while ago someone was trying to link up Pain and Future through Future’s brother and when Pain told Future’s brother he wanted to work with him he was told “My brother will never work with you.” He doesn’t hold any grudges though saying he’s “dyin’ to do a Future record.”
7. Jay-Z
Pain says when he jumped on Jay-Z’s stage while Jay was performing “Death Of Auto-Tune” he says it was to support the record. He originally wanted Jay to perform the cut on his own set but Ebro said Jay was overbooked. So Ebro arranged for Pain to surprise Jay on his set.
