DJ Khaled is just now becoming a household name to the mainstream, but make no mistake about it, he’s worked hard to get where he is today.

The man born Khaled Khaled is currently in the midst of releasing his 10th star-studded studio album, Grateful, and continuing to get a piece of all available pies in the entertainment and sneaker industry.

Dropping by The Breakfast Club, Khaled speaks with Envy, Charlamagne, and Angela Yee about the significance of the number 23 in his life right now, why he named his baby son the executive producer of his latest album, and his relationships with Birdman and 50 Cent.

Here are the 8 things we learned from DJ Khaled on The Breakfast Club.

1. 23

Khaled’s son was born on October 23rd so he decided make his album, Grateful, 23 cuts deep and drop it on June 23rd. Also that plays into his Jordan sneaker obsession.

2. Jordan Connection

As far as his limited edition Jordan sneaker he says Jordan is going to add another announcement to its release. A capsule collection perhaps?

3. Boss Baby

He made his son the executive producer to Grateful so he can see that he’s a part of Hip-Hop history when he’s older and hopefully push him to continue the family legacy.

4. Birdman

Khaled says Birdman is his friend and appreciates the opportunity that he and Slim gave him earlier in his career. He won’t say whether or not Cash Money paid him or not simply saying “me and them are good.”

5. Rick Ross

As far as the Rick Ross and Birdman beef he says he hopes everyone (like Ross, Wayne, Birdman) gets together and works everything out.

6. 50 Cent

He says the picture of him with 50 Cent came about because Jadakiss told them to get in a picture together. He says they didn’t have a conversation together though.

7. Studio Store

Khaled has his own Champs Sports store IN his recording studio. Talk about exclusive ish.

8. Fear Of Flyin’

DJ Khaled still won’t get on an airplane. He says his son and wife fly everywhere and that may push him to hop on a jet with them sooner or later.
