A few years ago, Victor Cruz experienced a Jeremy Lin’ish meteoric rise in the sports world when he helped the New York Giants win more games than expected and eventually win a Super Bowl.
Unfortunately, injuries derailed his once promising career and the Paterson, New Jersey native finds himself cut from the team and looking for a new gig in the NFL.
Today (May 23), the man who brought the salsa dance to the gridiron checked into The Breakfast Club and spoke on being cut from the only team he knew, how his side chicks responded to his fiancée texting them, and his take on Lavar Ball.

1. Painful Cut
Victor Cruz admits it hurt him when he learned that the NY Giants had cut him. Halfway through the year when he saw he wasn’t being targeted on the field – even though he was usually wide open – Cruz began to see the writing on the wall that he was on his way out.
2. Not Trippin’ Off That Trip
He doesn’t feel the Miami trip a week before the playoffs has any baring on how they played in the playoff loss.
3. Eli Manning
He says his relationship with Eli Manning was/is good even though Eli didn’t throw to him as much the last few years.
4. Cowboy Cruz?
Vic wouldn’t rule out playing for the Giants archrival, the Dallas Cowboys because his dad grew up a Cowboys fan.
5. Contract Killers
He’s seen players get cheated out of contract incentives by coaching staffs to keep players from getting extra money.
6. OBJ
Cruz says he doesn’t think Odell Beckham Jr. has an ego and calls him his brother who always vents to him.
7. Side chicks Chirpin’
Victor says that after his fiancé texted all his side chicks that he had to dead them all even though some were willing to continue with him.
8. Lavar Ball
He feels that Lavar Ball is doing more harm than good to Lonzo Ball’s career. Cruz says Lavar should let Lonzo have his own platform.
9. Air Cruz Unauthorized Flight
Nike accidently released the all red Air Cruz’s to Marshall’s without warning. Once Vic found out he trooped it to every Marshalls he could to snatch them up.
