From being one of the top radio hosts in the game to making the New York Times Best Seller list with Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes To Those Who Create It, the South Carolina-born radio star is making moves and shaking trees all over the place.
Recently Charlamagne sat down with the iconic OG Hip-Hop radio personality Angie Martinez and opened up on a bevy of subjects including his history in the radio game, his thoughts on Wendy Williams, and why he used to use penis enlarging pills.

1. The Rookie
When Tha God was on his rookie radio run, Wendy Williams once took a poll on whether or not Charlamagne should get sent back to the south. 70% of the people said yes.
2. Wendy Williams
Even though Charlamagne and Wendy Williams had a falling out he says he thinks Wendy’s “a decent person” but “she gotta ride with her husband.” Someone Tha God says “doesn’t have the best character.”
3. Floyd Mayweather
Charlamagne regrets putting out the Floyd Mayweather audio where Floyd was struggling to read a drop. He felt he shouldn’t have done it for ratings, he should’ve made it a “teachable moment” advocating for education but he made it a joke instead.
4. Drake Reference Tracks
Charlamagne Tha God had the Drake reference tracks before anyone but never put them out. He actually passed them on to Drake’s peoples. He didn’t want to repeat the whole Floyd Mayeather mistake.
5. Mr. Mom
Before getting back on the radio, Tha God was a stay-at-home dad with his newborn daughter and used to play Ghostface’s “Love” to rock her to sleep.
6. Redman Ripoff
Charlamagne used to plagiarize Redman’s raps in South Carolina to his peoples because no one knew who Redman was. We’ve all been there in our youths.
7. Dream Shatterer
Even though he had dreams of being a rapper, he had a mentor named Dr. Robert Evans who told him he “sucked at rapping” and he “need to pursue radio” because he could be good at it.
8. Ludacris Inspiration For Angie
Ludacris’ transition from radio personality to rap star inspired Angie Martinez to give it a shot. That didn’t go too well. Angie knows this. We still love her, though.
9. The Bigger Man
Charlamagne says that his wife once cheated on him in college due to his creeping ways. Unfortunately he asked her if he was “bigger” than him and she responded with “I never seen no sh*t like that in my life.” The information traumatized him so bad he started using penis enhancement pills. So sad.
10. Spiritual Feelings
Tha God considers himself a spiritual person and while he connects to Islam more than anything he won’t commit because he feels the need to pray even more than the traditional five times a day.
11. The Reformed Manwhore
Charlamagne was such a “hoe” back in the day that during prom weekend he smashed his then girlfriend and now wife’s best friend and her cousin.
12. Karma
When CG got fired from his gig at station Hot 99 he feels it was a sign from God for basically pimping out a groupie and misusing his platform.
