Carmelo Anthony turned heads in a lavish fur coat ensemble on Tuesday during a New York Knicks game, and the flamboyant look has been a topic of discussion since. The outfit wasn’t a cheap investment by any means, but that didn’t folks on Twitter from going in with the slander.
TMZ Sports exclusively spoke with Daniel’s Leather store owner Nadeem Waheed in New York, who sold the custom-made sheepskin shearling with cross fox fur for $5,000. The accompanying hat was an additional $500, and Waheed told TMZ that Anthony is a regular.
Twitter was largely unforgiving, placing the Knicks player in a variety of memes along with a lot of “WTF was that?” chatter. To be fair, Anthony looked quite warm in his outfit and it’s been quite brick on the East Coast so salute to him for his level of preparation.
