Despite a noble protest from Democrats, Betsy DeVos was still confirmed as the Education Secretary. It was VP Mike Pence aka Race Bannon who broke the tie in the Senate, and the pair have been properly getting dragged ever since.
It’s not helping things that #BetsyDevoe is trending when that’s a misspelling.
You remember Betsy Devos. She was the one talking out the side of her neck about gun in school being used to protect children again bear attacks during her confirmation hearing. Despite having no experience in public education, only two Republican Senators had the heart not to vote for her.
