Paul George is an elite NBA player, and he now has a sneaker to match. Today (Jan. 9), the Nike PG1 was formally unveiled.
The shoe was designed by Tony Hardman, and has been engineered to reflect the small forward’s versatility on the floor. The low-cut shoe features a forefoot strap which is anchored by Flywire cable loops to maintain a proper fit as well as a forefoot Zoom Air unit for cushioning. The outsole features “multidirectional scale-inspired blade traction” and the shoe features a full-bootie construction for a custom fit.
The initial 2K colorway is an homage to George’s love of video games—and his gracing of the cover of NBA 2K17. George will wear the PG1 on court when the Indiana Pacers play the Denver Nuggets in London on Thursday, January 12.
When it hits retails, the shoe will cost $110. Check out detailed images of the Nike PG1 below and on the following pages.
