For the past few bullets Meek Mill’s been catching more L’s in the game than the Cleveland Browns. The embattled former battle rapper decided to give Taxstone an exclusive interview in which he touched on a couple of sensitive subjects.
From fighting a losing battle against Drake to his recent war of words with The Game and fellow Philly brethren Beanie Sigel, Meek’s been slandered ruthlessly by his peers and Hip-Hoppers on social media for quite some time now and explains why he doesn’t mind any of it.
Now with the recently released, hood acclaimed street heater in DC4. Meek is steadily working his way back into the good graces of his true blue fans while making his naysayers eat their words and jump on his jock. Are we witnessing the rebirth of the Philadelphia rapper? Only time will tell.
Here are the 12 things we learned from Meek Mill on Tax Season.

1. Still Ballin’
Even in the midst of his social media slander, Meek was still selling out shows and getting $70,000 an appearance.
2. Instagram
Meek deleted his IG page because he wanted to “step out the circus for a minute.”
3. Drake
Before the whole Drake beef, Meek says Drake was supposed to come to one of his shows in Philly but Drake fronted and his peoples say they didn’t know about the show. Meek feels that move made him look like a fraud to the peoples he told that Drake was going to make an appearance.
4. Back To Back
He didn’t respond to Drake’s “Back To Back” because he was on tour and wasn’t recording like that. Later he also states he don’t “got no time to be making no rap about no ni**a.” Makes us think how much time The Game got on his hands. He’s dissed everyone and they mama since coming into the game.
5. Industry Friends
He didn’t name any names, but Mills says certain rappers did distance themselves from him when Drake went in on him. That’s why he doesn’t want any rappers to call him “brother” in any way, shape or form unless it’s his own peoples.
6. Nick Minaj
Meek has no problem with being on his “girl tour” because he’s clearing a hunned a night while she’s making $450,000. He also denies ever face timing Nicki while blowing up Safaree’s spot with some other women.
7. Sean Kingston
As far as the whole Game robbing Sean Kingston and Meek telling Sean it was Game’s peoples, Meek says he don’t talk to Sean Kingston on the phone.
8. In The Streets
Meek feels no rapper in the game be in the streets like he be in the streets. We’re not sure if that’s necessarily a good thing given his status in the game.
9. The Game
The Game’s video shoot for “Pest Control” in Brooklyn or his Instagram pics in Philly eating cheesesteaks didn’t phase Meek. He doesn’t consider that an “OG move” at all.
10. Beanie Sigel
He admits to looking up to Beanie Sigel his “whole life” but says the Broad Street Bully is on his way out the game and he was blessed by being on a Meek Mill joint. This will no doubt continue to get personal.
11. 50 Cent
Meek says he’s known 50 cent for 7 or 8 years being that he used to roll up on him trying to get signed. Things went sour when 50 started beefing with Ross. He says they’ve run into each other a few times but nothing happened. Meek refers to that as older numbers “40’s and 50’s” type situations. He’s on his 30’s wave right now.
12. Black Lives Matter
As far as the BLM movement, Meek feels he’d be a hypocrite if he was to publicly throw his support behind the movement while also publicly beefing with Game. He said no other races would take the movement seriously if heads participating in it are doing the opposite of the message they’re trying to send. He’s firmly against any “All Lives Matter” talk, though.
