Paper magazine rolled out its latest issue with buzzing rapper Travis Scott and the lovely Teyana Taylor both landing covers. Along with covers and a photo spreads, each artist had an opportunity to let readers in on what goes on behind the scenes in their respective careers.
Scott, who just dropped his second studio LP, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight last month, shares with Paper how he came to music after being inspired by Kid Cudi when he was 17. Now 24, Scott has lent his production talents to Jay Z, Rihanna, and several others while maintaining a serious rise as one of Hip-Hop’s best and brightest.
Taylor’s star is also on the rise of late, especially after her show-stealing turn in Kanye West’s “Fade” video. Now 25, Taylor is an industry vet who explains to Paper that her career may have had stumbles but is no less motivated to prove her detractors wrong.
