It is not a secret that Beyoncé commands one of the most devoted fan bases across any entertainment genre. The so-called “BeyHive” proved that said devotion after the R&B superstar began bleeding onstage after a fashion mishap, which prompted fans to cut themselves in unison.
As reported by the New York Daily News, the diva was performing at the TIDAL X 1015 concert over the weekend when one of her long braids ripped an earring from her ear causing her to bleed. After the performance, fans took to social media using the hashtags “#CutForBeyonce” and “#BleedForBeyonce.”
The paper notes that this isn’t the first time these hashtags have been used, nothing that both sprung up in 2013 and 2014 respectively. While Bey’s fans have proven they’ll do anything to show their love for her, this current trend is incredibly disturbing.
