Lupus, short for Lupus erythematosus, is an autoimmune disease than wreak havoc on the body systems of its sufferers. You’d be surprised how many celebs have the disease.

Some of the systems of lupus include fatigue, fever, skin rashes and painful joints—but symptoms vary on a case by case basis.

Luckily, it can be treated, so long as sufferers take heed to their doctors orders. Unfortunaltey, it can also be fatal (Rest In Power J Dilla).

Recently, Toni Braxton was hospitalized (she is now home resting) because of her lupus. Here is a list of other celebs who deal with the chronic illness.
