In 2009, Tru Life had the New York Rap scene in the palm of his hand, but a murder charge sent him to prison for eight years. Now a free man he stopped by The Breakfast Club to discuss coming back home and more.

As one who kept it as real on the streets as he said on his music, Tru Life wasn’t known for his goon hand as much as his lyricism. All that changed when he and his brother were charged for  stabbing a teen to death.

Now the former Roc-A-Fella Records artists is making the most of his new start in life. DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God got him to talk about the stabbing, Rap beefs, Future, Ving Rhames and more.

So we present the top 10 things we learned from The Breakfast Club Tru Life interview. Are you interested in eating cereal with champagne? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
