When rappers appear on London-based radio personality Tim Westwood‘s show to freestyle we are always entertained. Whether that’s a good or bad thing is contingent upon the artists.

Tim Westwood

Westwood has been on English radio since the 1980s and has vaults and vaults of audio and video footage of some of Hip-Hop’s biggest names going off the top of the dome. Every one from Fresh Prince to Rich Homie Quan has stepped into the booth, and some of them we wish hadn’t stepped in there at all.

When the freestyles are dope, commenters don’t hesitate to give a thumbs up of approval. But when they suck, they let them have it. Sometimes so much that the comments section gets disabled. What’s worst is that Westwood sometimes looks like he is encouraging the wackness.

In fact, a disabled comment section has become somewhat of a badge of dishonor for freestyles that are just too unbearable. Here are a few clips that earned that “disabled” distinction.

Father Sounds Like He’s Gone Off A ‘Roc

Whew. This was painful to watch. Father is applauded for his creativity when it comes to visuals, but this is one video he probably wishes was scrubbed from the internet. While it qualifies as a freestyle since it’s off the top of the dome (we’re hoping), we’re not quite sure what to call this display of “rapping.”

Trinidad James Is Having A Good Time

When Trinidad James entered the rap game with his hit “All Gold Everything” he earned more haters in 15 minutes than some rappers earned in 15 years. Already doubted for his unique lyrical skill set, this freestyle on Westwood’s “Crib Session” segment gave James haters even more to feast on.

Rich Homie Quan’s Shares His “Ambtionz”

This clip of Rich Homie Quan freestyling has been viewed almost one million times, however it’s not because of the entire clip. RHQ sounds in his element when he’s “rapping” over Bryson Tiller beats, but there is one segment where Westwood throws on 2 Pac’s “Ambitionz Az A Ridah” instrumental and Rich Homie proceeds to do everything but ride on it. The comments were not disabled for this video, but if that segment were to stand alone, there’s a good chance that they would be.

Waka Flocka Flame Is Drunk As Hell

Waka Flocka came with his best attempt at the Ol’ Dirty Bastard Drunken Style flow, but he fell flat. It sounded like he sobering up at the 3:25 mark but then, yeah.

Desiigner Said “Hakuna Matata”

Desiigner continues to give people reasons to question why he’s here. He found a way to rhyme “Hakuna Matata” with “noggin” which can be viewed as genius or insane depending on what drug you are. This video is perhaps the fastest to reach “disabled” status. It is quite possible that the comments were disabled the moment the video was uploaded to avoid future embarrassment.
