If anyone’s mastered the art of staying relevant through the generational shifts in Hip-Hop, it’s been none other than Puff Daddy a.k.a. P. Diddy a.k.a. Sean John a.k.a. King Combs a.k. – you get the idea.
The man who invented the remix has been making some noise as of late with talk of a Bad Boy family reunion concert titled One Night Only in celebration of the birthday of the King Of New York, Notorious B.I.G. (we miss you, Big!)
Featuring Bad Boy alumni such as Total, Ma$e, Lox, Faith, Mario Winans, Carl Thomas, and extended Bad Boy fam like Lil Kim, French Montana, and none other than Jay-Z, the lineup seems poised to make sure that fans in attendance party like it’s 1999 all over again.
Diddy stopped by The Breakfast Club to chop it up with Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy to talk about the concert, Cassie’s love scene in The Perfect Match, and what inspired him to bring a charter school to Harlem. Check out 10 thing we learned from Puff on the following pages.

1. Craig Mack
Even though he’s not penned in the lineup right now, Puff is looking for Craig Mack for his One Night Only concert. That would be flavorful.
2. Life After Death
There may or may not be a Biggie hologram at the concert. He’s playing this information close to his chest.

3. Junior Mafia
Puff didn’t sign Junior MAFIA because he felt Bad Boy’s name would’ve overshadowed them and he wanted them to be Big’s own individual imprint.

4. Get Money
Puff was supposed to be on the Get Money Remix, but Puff was new to rapping and didn’t like how his voice sounded on the record so he scrapped it.

5. Biggie Duets Deux
According to Puff the Faith and Biggie duet album is going to be in the same vein as a Unforgettable Nat King Cole project. And no, he’s not making any money off of it.

6. Cassie
Terrence Jenkins had a screening of The Perfect Match just for Puff to make sure everything was cool with his and Cassie’s love scenes. Puff was surprised that there was three of them.

7. Charter Combs
Aside from his mother sending him to private school as a kid, Diddy was inspired by a CNN segment to open up a free charter school of his own in Harlem.

9. J. Lo
Cassie didn’t have any problems with Diddy posing with J. Lo at the AMA’s, but she did have some questions.

10. Outkast
Having spent summers in ATL Puff felt he could capture life properly being behind the lens, so he directed OutKast’s first video, “Player’s Ball.” Further proof that Puff was all-knowing.
