Chingy hasn’t been a household name quite some time and when he has come up in the media of late, it hasn’t been entirely favorable. The St. Louis rapper’s knack for the struggle was on display again after a blind endorsement of GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump was recalled thus sparking some vicious slander.
It all began last Friday (Jan. 22) when Chingy tweeted his support of Trump based on the mogul’s business acumen and something he read about him in a news article. That same article neglected to highlight Trump’s more divisive policies, obviously.
“Politics vs society. People should innerstand that politics is a business jus like the job you work at. I vote for @realDonaldTrump “YEP” 3,” tweeted the rapper born Howard Bailey Jr.
He added, “@realDonaldTrump knows how to conduct business. This country is a business an needs to be ran by a businessman. It’s not personal people!”
In a video response later that day, the “Right Thurr” artist made sure to clean up his stance and backed away from his earlier support of Trump. He did well in explaining himself with eloquence, but the damage was done and the evidence of the slander lives on.
