It isn’t a secret that President Barack Obama has appointed and hired a host of exceptional Black women as part of his administration. However, many of these powerful individuals tend to play the background but are getting some well-deserved attention for their service to the White House.
In Essence‘s upcoming October issue, 29 Black women who work for the president will be profiled. Among the list are U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who was just recently appointed. Valerie Jarrett, the longtime Senior Advisor to President Obama, is also part of the amazing pictorial profile list.
Susan Rice, Deesha Dyer, Ashley Allison, Ashley Etienne, Ashley Tate-Gilmore, Adaeze Enekwechi, Desiree Barnes, Dominque Mann, Jordan Metoyer, Kalisha Dessources, Katherine Branch, Kimberlyn Leary, Kristin Jones, Kristina Broadie, Angella Reid, Addie Whisenant, Adrienne Harris, Ashleigh Axios, Carri Twig, Chynna Clayton, Crystal Brown, Crystal Carson, Karen Evans, Monique Dorsainvil, Rochelle Boone Briscoe, Tonya Williams and Stephanie Young round out the rest of the ladies in the glamorous spread.
We’ll feature just a few of the photos as we want you to head over to Essence‘s website by following this link to see the rest of the women who help run things within the Obama Administration.
