The great Damon Wayans made an appearance on The Breakfast Club this morning to promote an upcoming performance and his family history but he slipped up on some other info in the process.

According to the tenured actor, the sealed Tracy Morgan Walmart settlement was worth $90 million. The subject came up in casual conversation when Angela Yee asked Wayans about comedians taking risks and Tracy’s finances came up in conversation.

Reps for Morgan, who suffered a brain injury in a 2014 accident with a Walmart truck, tell TMZ, “Tracy has had no contact with Mr. Wayans since before the accident so there is no way he would be able to know this and thus is false,” but you know how Hollywood talks.

Check out ten other things we learned from Damon Wayans’ entertaining trip to The Breakfast Club down below.

#BeyDay

Damon Wayans turned 54-years-old today, which means he shares the same day as Beyoncé, although, without much of the fanfare. Charlamagne likens it to sharing a death day with Michael Jackson (R.I.P. Farrah Fawcett).

In Living Color Biopic Coming Soon?

Citing Straight Outta Compton as both inspiration and inspirational, Damon says he was just telling Kim Wayans that their older brother, Keenan Ivory Wayans, needs to tell the story of In Living Color on film. Only time will tell if it’s painted or not.

Short-Lived SNL Stretch

Following the departure of Eddie Murphy, Wayans took over as the African-American male lead on Saturday Night Live in 1986 but things didn’t go too smoothly, as he was fired after seven episodes. Apparently he wasn’t a “team player” and showed his defiance when he changed his Miami Vice character to a gay cop on the spot. He was also fired on the spot.

Mildly Offensive

Blessed with an uncanny knack for imitating mentally challenged people (see the bulk of his In Living Color characters), Wayans says he only caught flak from those who weren’t handicapped.

Training Wheels Are Off

Angela Yee offered up a “worthy inquiry” if Damon Wayans Jr. still gets some Hollywood assistance from pops. The elder Wayans admitted that his door is always open for advice but he feels his son is his own man, given his growing filmography.

Innocent Until Proven Guilty

Wayans surprisingly is on Bill Cosby’s side throughout his scandal and even went as far as thinking some of the alleged victims knew exactly what they got themselves into.

Sidelined By Sugar

The comedy legend actually had to scale back on his stand-up routines because his diabetes has increasingly been flaring up.

Born To Do It

If the diabetic odds were enough, Damon Sr. was also born with a club foot, a semi-rare condition that was brought to animation in the 90s WB series, Waynehead.

Colorful Beginnings

Keenan Ivory Wayans on In Living Color: “I’m about to do my thing and y’all [my siblings] are invited to the party.” Damon says he enjoyed the comedic freedom much more than on his stint on SNL.

The company “MIMS” (Money in My Sleep) has been taking advantage of other avenues of revenue and Wayans has been keeping busy developing apps with his team.
