Jay Z and Beyoncé bought a $2.6 million New Orleans mansion that was once a church, reports say. The Carters don’t typically speak out about their real estate purchases though, so it wouldn’t be surprising if we never get confirmation.
Parkwood Entertainment, LLC — Bey’s management imprint — is listed on the paperwork. It was built in 1927 and was once a ballet school ,and now consists of one main property and three 1,000 square-foot apartments. Queen Bey was probably sold on the master suite, which gives off the feel of “royalty,” the listing says.
The 13,292-square-foot mansion boasts 26-foot high ceilings, three floors, seven bedroom and eight bathrooms, and “great natural lights,” per Zillow.com. “Once you’re in the building, the world melts away,” reads a description of the estate.
According to one anonymous “Grammy winner,” the mansion even gives off good energy. “The acoustics and vibes are great,” the person said. “I did my best writing ever, while watching the sunset from the rooftop garden!”
No one knows what Jay and Bey plan to do with this huge mansion, it looks like it could be haunted, which would make for a good story, but here’s hoping that’s not the case.
