Michel’le has been through it—and even that may be an understatement. The R&B diva with the tiny speaking voice (but powerful singing vocals) had relationships with Dr. Dre and Suge Knight, and spilled plenty of tea on The Breakfast Club.
We found her being able to speak so candidly and in detail about the abuse at the hands of the aforementioned Death Row founders rather amazing. Check out 8 things we learned from Michel’le on The Breakfast Club.

The Voice
Michel’le says she didn’t speak for the first four years of her life and when she did, her voice was just very light. She said she talks over her larynx and it isn’t a “condition.”
Wrecking Cru
Michel’le first worked with Dr. Dre with World Class Wrecking Cru. But she got jerked and wasn’t even paid for her work because…she didn’t know.
Beats By Dre
Michel’le says she wasn’t offended by her R&B Divas: L.A. castmate Lil Mo when she joked that Beats By Dre was inspired by her. Get it? Yeah, poor taste, indeed.
Dr. Dre Did That?
According Michel’le, Dr. Dre abused her during their relationship to the tune of five black eyes and other assorted injuries including a broken nose, cracked rib and scars.
But Not Suge…Well, Actually…
Interestingly, Michel’le says that Suge Knight is the one who told her a man should never put hands on a woman. Co-sign. However, she later recalled him slapping her hard enough to dislocate her jaw.
However, Suge Was Married, To Someone Else
Michel’le married Suge Knight in prison. The problem was he was already married to someone else. She was married to to him for eight years, however he was in jail for six and a half of them.
Doin’ It For TV
She’s working on a book and a made for TV movie about her life. [we just used the pic, ain’t no one say Tyler Perry is involved]
Therapy
Michel’le is in therapy and has no qualms talking about it. Salute.
