Method Man in Garden State
Of course Meth was the grimy character Diego. He was totally down to sneak Zach Braff and Natalie Portman into a skin flick.
RZA in Due Date
RZA popped up as the witty TSA agent who caught Robert Downey Jr. with a one-hitter stashed inside his travel bag.
Ghostface Killah in Iron Man 2
In a scene that was ultimately cut from the movie, Ghost laces Tony Stark with three jumpoffs during a party in Dubai.
RZA and GZA in Coffee And Cigarettes
“And you’re Bill Murray. Bill—Groundhog Day, Ghostbusting-a**—Murray! Who you gonna call?”
Ghostface Killah in Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story
We got a random cameo from Ghostface Killah in a completely random spoof on the musical biopic. It was only right.
RZA in G.I. Joe: Retaliation
It was a bit of typecasting to feature RZA in the role of Blind Master. But aren’t G.I. Joe and martial arts a match made in heaven for him?
Method Man in The Mortician
This one wasn’t for everybody, but Meth got to expand his acting chops by playing the creepy, titular character with a heart of gold.
Ol’ Dirty Bastard in State Property 2
Few things summed up Ol’ Dirty’s brief and random tenure on Roc-A-Fella more than plopping him in the middle of State Property 2.
RZA in Funny People
The Judd Apatow crew loves Wu-Tang Clan so much you knew a cameo had to happen sooner or later. RZA delivered in the form of a deli clerk named Chuck in Funny People.
Cappadonna in The Businessman
Despite its good intentions, The Businessman was completely random. Havoc from Mobb Deep and Mr. Cheeks also made appearances in this one.
Raekwon in Coalition
The frame above features the exact moment when the fake blood packet explodes on Rae, and he displays his acting chops by going into full zombie mode.
RZA in Repo Men
For the most part, RZA stays in his lane: musicians, guys clearly influenced by the ‘60s and ‘70s, or parts related to martial arts. He got two out of three right as T-Bone in Repo Men.
Method Man in Red Tails
Red played a crewman named Sticks alongside fellow The Wire alums Tristan Wilds and Andre Royo.
Raekwon in Black And White
The best part of this movie was Mike Tyson almost killing Ben Stiller. But we still remember Rae as a rapper named Cigar. Good times.
Ghostface Killah in When In Rome
You never expect to see Ghost’s name pop up in a rom-com featuring Kristen Bell. But Tony Starks kept it brief with a cameo as the Guggenheim DJ.
RZA in American Gangster
RZA was in his familiar lane as a ‘70s cop who played a little piano on the side.
