Scandal is back from winter break and the first episode was one hell of a ride? Talk about twists and turns.

On last night’s (Jan. 30) installment we found out just how close Olivia Pope was to her own apartment when she got kidnapped in the middle of a wine drinking and adult activity with Jake.

Everything after that scene, was pretty much a blur.

Liv got locked up/kidnapped and ran from one dead end to another trying to free herself. She could’ve been on the inside for a year for all we know, or maybe just a month. Either way, she can’t get out yet.

This means that someone actually succeeded in capturing Olivia Pope.

Across The Way
Liv got kidnapped and literally taken across the hall, while Jake chased down a car thinking she was inside. This cat and mouse game is getting out of hand.

Body Bag

The torture game was real. Liv found herself sharing a body bag with this dead woman on her way to what we’re tentatively calling “torture island.”

The Choice

There’s no way Scandal could go a whole hour without doubling back to Liv and Fitz. During what turned out to be a dream montage, Liv picked a life in Vermont with Fitz, and jam.

How To Get Away With Murder

What is the average person willing to do for freedom? Shooting a man at point blank range to get off “torture island” sounds like a good idea.

Untrustworthy

It was pretty obvious that once Liv started telling her cellmate “Ian” all her business, she went too far. Now her kidnapper knows all her secrets. Big mistake.

The Wire

Liv used wire from her bra to try and escape from captivity but it didn’t quite go according to plan. When she tried it again, the guards were one step ahead of her game.

Pipe Dreams

Hallucinating gave Liv the idea to beat the sh*t out of the guard with a pipe and run to faux freedom.

Escape

How’s this for a major let down? Liv thought she was running to escape, and she got absolutely no where.

Daddy Pope
Hey Papa Pope, are you busy right now? Your daughter could really use your help, by the way.
