The Great Instagram Purge of 2014 has humbled plenty of people. Celebrities such has Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Katy Perry lost a combined 2.8 million alone. However, no one appears to be more embarrassed than Mase, who apparently was exposed for buying followers to make his return to rap look more promising than it really is.
After it was reported the Harlem reverend was out a whooping 1.7 million followers following the deletion of spam accounts, he was left with a paltry number 272,000. Although that may seem like an acceptable number for a veteran who is trying to nestle in with a younger generation, it obviously wasn’t good enough and Mase washed his hands with not only his IG account but the Twitter one as well.
Alas, his absence wasn’t gone uncelebrated and his struggle was exemplified to the highest power all over the map.
