People often dream of becoming famous, but it’s entirely possible to be one of the celebrities famous for the wrong reasons. That would more or less be the definition of notorious.

In more recent times, the likes of Darren Wilson and George Zimmerman qualify as people who enjoy a certain amount of celebrity based on their association with killing unarmed, black teenagers. We know celebrity culture, pornography and invasive ads power the Internet. And this hall of shame pretty much covers all the above.

Kim Kardashian

Does anyone remember what Kim Kardashian was famous for before she starred in a sex tape with Ray J in 2007? Kardashian initially made her name as one of high-powered attorney Robert Kardashian’s daughters and a friend of Paris Hilton, and we all know what happened next.

Casey Anthony would probably have to win a Nobel Peace Prize and the NBA Finals MVP to make people forget she killed her two-year-old daughter Caylee.

Christ Bearer got really high on PCP, castrated himself and attempted to commit suicide. That will pretty much overshadow anything he did on the microphone as a member of Northstar.

After Lorena Bobbit castrated her husband John Wayne Bobbit, she cemented her place in history as the wrong woman to mess with.

Karrueche Tran

As usual, Chris Brown’s rage-induced rant was distasteful and ill timed. But one thing he was correct about was taking Karrueche Tran from nothing to the D-list merely by dating her.

She’s attempted to turn her life around and even shed light on deportation issues. But for most, Kat Stacks will always be known as a celebrity jumpoff who tried to expose the men who courted her.

Antonio Cromartie

When they grow up, Antonio Cromartie’s nine children are going to have the option of seeing Antonio Cromartie kind of forget how many kids he fathered. Hopefully they also learn he was a Pro Bowl cornerback who also set NFL history with a 109 yard kickoff return.

Monica Lewinsky

Despite creating a line of handbags and providing some thought-provoking commentary, Monica Lewinsky hasn’t been able to shake a reputation as the intern who gave President Bill Clinton some top in the Oval Office.

Gabriel Aubry

Gabriel Aubry is technically still a model. But after having a child with Halle Berry, he’s more famous for bleaching his daughter’s hair and getting beaten up on Thanksgiving.

Karrine Steffans

Karrine “Superhead” Steffans turned her dalliances with the likes of Kool G Rap, Ja Rule and Big Tigger into television appearances and a book deal.

Ashley Dupre

Eliot Spitzer managed to salvage his career, but the same can’t be said for the woman he helped make infamous. Spitzer cheated on his wife with escort Ashley Alexandra Dupré, who has since married and settled down.

Paris Hilton

It’s arguable that Paris Hilton’s only notable act was being the progeny of Richard and Kathy Hilton. Nevertheless, she’s turned the act of being a famous thot into a multimillion-dollar occupation.

Darren Wilson is unlikely to ever be known for anything other than killing Michael Brown and getting away with it scot-free.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline

At some point in Kevin Federline carried a reputation as a talented backup dancer. But through the passage of time, he’ll forever carry the distinction as the guy who knocked up Britney Spears (and probably got a lifetime pension in the process).

Michael Lohan

Michael Lohan fathered Lindsay and Ali Lohan, and it was pretty much downhill after that. He’ll carry the rep of a bad actor and deadbeat daddy, but at one point he was a commodities trader.

Memphis Bleek

At worst, Memphis Bleek is a serviceable rapper with two gold albums. But once the term “weed carrier” was coined, Bleek was only famous for being Jay Z’s little homie.

Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen has displayed some serious acting chops that are on readily available for anyone who has access to the movies Red Dawn and Platoon. But Sheen’s reputation for wifing porn stars, abusing drugs and public meltdowns overshadows anything he’s done on a movie screen.

His failed attempts at securing a celebrity boxing match just highlight the sad fact that George Zimmerman’s most notorious act in life was the senseless killing of Trayvon Martin.
