Friday’s here and so is The Wrap Up: Hip-Hop Wired’s Top 10 Songs Of The Week, a comprehensive list of the best rap music had to offer.
Some quality output came out of a Midwest city known for its musicality and automobile industry. There’s also a lot more industry veterans in the fold this time around, which is the polar opposite the newcomer-heavy Wrap Up’s of old. Hit the jump to see what material was selected.

10. G-Unit – “Ease Up”
Producer: N/A
The Unit is back. We suggest that you stay very woke.
9. Bobby Creekwater – “It’s Just Different”
Producer: N/A
The ATLien captures the essence of his hometown in his cadence and flow, while showing his talents as a lyricist on his latest release. Cheers to that.
8. Bodega Bamz – “El-Rey”
Producer: V-Don
East Harlem needs to salute Bamz for delivering such a strong lead single from his upcoming Sidewalk Exec.
7. RL Grime ft. Big Sean – “Kingpin”
Producer: RL Grime
Big Sean goes ballistic while rhyming over Grime’s production. When the Detroit native is in this rhythm, it’s best to step out of the way.
6. Big K.R.I.T. – “Let It Show”
Producer: DJ Dahi
We’re still scratching our heads at the fact that Krizzle didn’t make this a single. With Dahi on the boards, this record has an undeniable bounce.
5. Stromae ft. Pusha T, Lorde, Q-Tip, & HAIM – “Meltdown”
Producer: HAIM
You’ll be hard pressed to find a more creatively ambition rap track this week. The G.O.O.D. Music MCs kill this one.
4. Rick Ross ft. Yo Gotti – “Trap Luv”
Producer: Deonte “MoneyBag$” Hayes
Ross never fails when rapping over soulful production. But seeing as though Gotti also flourishes on that sound, this track was predestined for greatness.
3. Eminem ft. Big Sean, Royce Da 5’9”, Danny Brown Dej Loaf, & Trick Trick – “Detroit Vs. Everybody”
Producer: Statik Selektah
The Motor City reps the hometown emphatically on this cut.
2. Lupe Fiasco ft. Ty Dolla $ign – “Deliver”
Producer: N/A
“Next To It” and the track above are a solid start to a hopefully bright collaborative future between Fiasco and Ty Dolla.
1. PRhyme – PRhyme
Producer: Adrian Younge
DJ Premier and Royce Da 5’9” are field tested independently and as a duo. Here’s what happens when producer Adrian Younge joins the party.
