West Coast rhymeslayer Thurz has devised the perfect solution in giving the population of the country who are experiencing chilly temperatures a taste of that California sunshine with his new Designer EP, overseen by Marlon Travis Barrow.
The seven-track offering sponsored by Red Bull is a liquid journey through groovy Hip-Hop and overall life bliss. There’s the Funkadelic “Big Bang” (with BJ The Chicago Kid, Clyde Carson, Overdoz. and Preston Harris) that excels in the boogie-woogie while the popular “Perfect Words” is a much more subdued number that paints lyrics like a watercolor canvas all across the track. Short and sweet is the motto of today’s modern rapper and Designer is tailor-made to fit the needs of listeners who don’t have a lot of time to sift through the competition.
Next week, Thurz will join Run The Jewels and Mystery Skulls on one of Red Bull Sounds’ sold-out Los Angeles concert series stages. The new music already sounds like a live experience, so expect its dopeness factor to be magnified in full.
