Kendrick Lamar is getting the wheels turning for his upcoming third album. The TDE rapperĀ stopped by Big Boy’s Neighborhood for a very interesting appearance.
While the internets are still deciding if “i” is a worthy first single, K. Dot seems unfazed by the criticism whether positive or negative. On the one anniversary of his infamous “Control (HOF)” verse, he chopped it up with Big Boy and crew.
Throughout the 12 minute sit-down Lamar discussed the new album, Drake, Dr. Dre, his recording progress and more.

1. Drake & J. Cole
When asked about the aftermath of “Control (HOF)”, he says his relationship with Drake and J. Cole has remained the same.
2. The Album
Kendrick currently has seven songs he really loves and 30 some others he doesn’t think will make the cut. Dr. Dre has yet to record anything for the album.
3. Social Media
Whether you love him or hate on him through social media, rest assured he doesn’t pay his Twitter or Instagram any mind.
4. Collaborations
When asked who have been his most memorable work with, he answered Dr. Dre, Snoop, Eminem and Jay Z.
5. The Recording Process
Kendrick usually records a bunch of ideas and then sits and lives with them. From there he decides what the album will shape out to be.
6. The Vault
He also admitted he has a vault specifically for records that didn’t end up making it to good Kid M.A.A.D. City.
7. Dr. Dre
He describes his relationship with Dr. Dre as more of a mentor bond as he goes to Dre for advice about music, life, business and more.
