Now with Adrian Peterson under the scorching media spotlight, the NFL was still mired in controversy heading into week 2. Nevertheless this past weekend featured some notable injuries, show stopping plays and you guessed it; struggle.

The New York Giants continued to stink things up in their miserable loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Cam Newton had a successful return to the field with the Carolina Panthers, putting the Detroit Lions on notice.

The New York Jets on the other hand had the chance to defeat Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers but a costly mistake by the coaching staff robbed them of a victory. In an unexpected chain of events the  Chicago Bears defense wiped the smile off Colin Kaepernick’s face with a win over the San Francisco 49ers.
