This past weekend, wasn’t first time Suge got shot during a VMAs event. He got shot in 2005 at a Kanye West party.
Either Karma is chasing Suge Knight, or he’s the unluckiest soul in rap history. Since Tupac died in 1995, the former Death Row CEO hasn’t been able to claw his way back to supremacy.
The money struggles, the legal shuffles, the shootings (most recently during a VMAs party) —there’s enough life content here to write a pretty fat book. It’s jarring to think back at how much of a juggernaut Death Row records was, and compare it to all of the bad predicaments that have followed Knight since those days.
Take a look in the gallery.

Funds Deficiency
The former Death Row big wig filed for bankruptcy in 2006. He only had $12 in his bank account at the time.
House Hunters
As part of his bankruptcy predicament, Suge put his $6.2 million mansion up for sale. It was auctioned off for about $2 million less than the asking price.
More Jail
He spent around a month in jail in 2003 for associating with gang members.
Vegas
Two years ago Suge was arrested in Las Vegas for drug possession and a traffic warrant. It was his second Sin City bust in three years.
Night Night
He got laid out in front a club in 2009.
Akon
Nine months after getting knocked out in front of a club, he copped another beating at the hands ofĀ Akon’s people.
Storage Wars
The remainder of Suge’s belongings were sold off on the A&E reality show Storage Wars. Ouch.
The Shield
Last year Suge was accidentally involved in a standoff with LAPD.
