When you have a billion dollar franchise, the goal is to keep operating what isn’t broke. Marvel is putting plenty eggs in the basket holding the Ant-Man potential and production has already begun.
For the uninitiated, the cult favorite comic revolves around Scott Lang (played by Paul Rudd) who is a thief who decides to use his tech skills for the greater good when the Ant-Man suit is passed down to him by Dr. Hank Pym (played by Michael Douglas). Although it doesn’t exactly sound like your ideal blockbuster, the year is 2014 and film studio have been able to work wonders giving a big budget and the right script.
Marvel recently released the first look at Rudd as Lang in an unassuming hoodie amidst a gritty city backdrop. The photo-op wasn’t solely to generate buzz. Director Peyton Reed was on location along with Rudd as they look to put a spin on the character’s back story.
