10. Kevin Gates ft. Yo Gotti & K Camp – “Don’t Know (Remix)”
Producer: KnuckleHead & Go Grizzly
Gates’ song writing ability is second to none, and that can be heard on this Gotti and Camp-assisted cut.
9. Ty Dolla $ign ft. 2 Chainz – “Familiar (Remix)”
Producer: Young Chop
2 Chainz adds some star power to Ty Dolla’s already knocking track. This could heat the summer up.
8. Luke James ft. Rick Ross – “Options”
Producer: N/A
James is a promising crooner, but he’s gotten better by leaps and bounds.
7. Your Old Droog – “Loosey In The Store With Pennies”
Producer: N/A
The Coney Island newcomer has bars, and perhaps no song from his self-titled EP shows it like this.
6. Rick Ross ft. Wale, Rockie Fresh, Gunplay, Fat Trel, Tracy T & French Montana – “Finals 2”
Producer: D Rich
As far as we’re concerned, summer is the perfect time to deliver a posse cut, and MMG’s entry isn’t too shabby.
5. A$AP Mob – “Hella Hoes”
Producer: Nyrell OC
A$AP Mob debuted a heater from their upcoming L.O.R.D. compilation album. In any case, it’s clear that the women love them.
4. Statik Selektah ft. Joey Bada$$ & Freddie Gibbs – “Carry On”
Producer: Statik Selektah
This Jazz-influenced cut is more than a smooth listen. It’s a hub for perhaps the best display of bars of the week.
3. Fabolous ft. 50 Cent – “Cuffin Season (Remix)”
Producer: Sonaro
Loso’s Soul Tape 3 cut was already a heater, but a little assistance from 50, who’s bubbling due to G-Unit’s reunion, takes this cut to another level.
2. G-Unit – “Grindin My Whole Life (Remix)”
Producer: Hit-Boy
HS87’s anthem-like cut served 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, and Tony Yayo properly and could definitely usher in a big summer for the collective.
1. Drake – “0 To 100”
Producer: Boi-1da, 40 & Nineteen85
Drizzy delivered the first cut that can truthfully contend with Wiz Khalifa’s “We Dem Boyz” and Chris Brown’s “Loyal” for potential song of the year.
